I listened to you over and over during my cancer treatments. I am cancer free now and have really come to understand what Paul, in particular, wanted me to know. The cancer was really a blessing. Thank you for your commitment to be there every week. It kept me going and the nurses listened, too. Thanks, lived to to give more service.

I went through a pretty tough time with cancer and chemo last year. These videos were very helpful to me as well. Like you, I tell everyone that my cancer was a blessing...not something I'd like to repeat any time too soon, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! Blessings to you that all will continue to go well.

Another fabulous week of learning! Thank you! I wanted to share a thought I had about our studies this week. When we talk about the teaching that the dead can not be made perfect without us and we without them…. Without the dead, we would only attend the temple once. We need them to return again and again. With those that have gone before, we attain the blessings of the temple over and over.

when you spoke of the nurse going home at the end of her shift and you feeling like you didn't know how to do this without her... that describes very well how I feel since my amazing husband passed away... I am so grateful for the Savoir who stays with us to the finish line... and likely beyond. Thank you for teaching and sharing so generously- it helps me so very much!

“Every time I get dressed I’m renewing covenants”. This is a true understanding of the potential of the gift of the holy garment. Thank you for helping us see how to use the temple garment not only as a covenant covering and reminder, but as a protective, empowering tool.

Oh Brother Jared, once again, you have reached into my heart and taught me things I never knew that are literally life-changing. The revelation in Verse 20 of Chapter 10 - always there but never seen by me in my previous cursory scripture glance-throughs (can't dignify them by calling them studies). The veil as a symbol of Christ's flesh left me breathless and in tears - in the best possible way, giving me answers I have been searching for , for a long time .You do so much for me. You have helped me so much in my spiritual growth. I wish I could return just a fragment of what I feel I owe you. Thank you so much from this truly broken heart and contrite spirit.

The commentary on Christ as the Author and Finisher was very poignant. And so relatable as I face the end of a more than three decades long marriage because of my spouse's choices. It is impossible right now for me to think of "finishing" the race we started together without him... Like your PhD, your advisor was there through everything. And my spouse was there through everything - 6 children, graduations (5 of them for him!), 12 moves, 5 granddaughters. All the things. But he chose another path and I am left to think about not ever trusting the arm of the flesh and relying only on Christ, who is ever faithful, always and forever walking beside me on this difficult mortal journey. Even when others forsake and betray, He never ever will.

I am so glad that Jesus Christ was being placed at the head of the proverbial table by Paul. Paul was redirecting the focus of the jews toward the one and only person to whom we should look. This message was given to the Jews at many dispensations. with Moses to the jews... it was the curse and blessing of Moses. this message applies to us today. "to whom are we looking?" is it to Jesus Christ? are we relying on the prophets only? denying the messages that our savior has for us. if so we need to listen to Paul, we need to learn about Moses's Curse and Blessing. Then Let God teach us directly. and you will understand the meaning of the prophets... "Hear him." then we will know how he can be a finisher of our faith. .

It seems like the scriptures are opening up new insights, even though they are the same insights as before. What I don't understand is why, even though volumes of doctrine were being preached by all 12 of the apostles following the Christ's ascension, that we don't have a single written word of those preachings.

I must emphasize that Abraham probably received his authority prior to leaving on his migrations from Ur of the Chaldees, to be continually blessed by stages until he was blessed by Melchizedek in Salem! Abraham already had the promises, which were recognized and confirmed by Melchizedek, the "shadow" of the "King of All Righteousness"!

6:24 "he tears the veil apart so that we can come into God's holy presence" as sensitively as i can say this: sacredly consider the procreative parallels in that statement. we certainly are puny unto the might of Christ and only able to enter on his power, our only contribution being a continual willingness and effort to go forward where he would send us. And even if we go against the current of his power, we will end up in God's presence at the Judgement seat, even if only to receive lesser glory. it makes connections on so many levels. God who made the gospel, also designed the world and all that is in it. His hand and his gospel are in all the things in creation.

1:44:04 truly in him we are spiritually begotten. He is our father and the church our mother, but only to bring us back to the literal parents of our spirits. It is by the power of Christ that we can be put into the Church to mature. And it is by his providence that the church nurtures us sufficient to bring us to term and deliver us into the presence of the Eternal Father. In Christ were united the male suffering for friends, the male suffering for children, and the male suffering for the love of his wife. For we are all Christ's friends, and we become his children as he puts us into the church.

and wow, even down to blood without that is put on the covering of the priest, and bread (sugar) and sweet smells within. and the bread is unleavened, unspoiled; and only the priests may eat it. And just as only one priest enters into the holy of holies on that one day, just as only one sperm enters into the egg at fertilization. truly procreation is sacred, eternal, and integral to the plan. I admit i tried to look up whether the one out of twelve ratio for Levites had any parallels in spermatogenesis, no luck. I might have to go back over numbers to see what other parallels i can find. But the division patterns are familiar: Abraham to Ishmael and Isaac, and Isaac to Jacob and Esau, and since Esau... hmm maybe matriarchal comparison makes more sense? anyways: one stem cell divides mitotically, then the first half develops into sperm, the other half stays to divide again. Isaac and Ishmael? then there is a resting period, where that first have goes into some special tissues and is nourished before undergoing meiosis. then the 4 parts each become a single sperm. I'll admit I don't know how to draw parallels between that and the patriarchs of the Bible, or even if one could draw such parallels. But i felt impressed to mention it. there are so many parallels of renewal and birth with the Messianic stories of the Bible. Truly it is all made by one selfsame God (oh, selfsame, self similar, the mandelbrot? I'm on one today, not sure if that's good or bad except that I am sick)

i love what you mentioned about greek philosophy and Platonic shadows. The Law of Moses was a shadow of Jesus Christ, but he is much more than a shadow of God; for Christ is the very heir. Mayhaps we could say that The Godhead are each but a part of the concept of God, and without each other AND Heavenly Mother, there is no God. which reminds me of how ironic it is that many Roman Catholics worship Mary, but their church does not teach of Heavenly Mother.

Seems that Melchizedek was NOT part of Abram's bloodline, perhaps a father of it, but Melchizedek at Salem underlines that patriarchal priesthood covered much of the Middle East, from which Abraham received his authority; it also points to the reasons for the "3 Wise Men" expecting the King's birth, probably through written and verbal records among the patriarchs from Adam through Noah and Shem "the great high priest"! Here also is the source of priesthood authority which Moses received, from his father-in-law of a separate tribe! Another note regards the sacrificial "temple", discovered by archaeologists not far from the Gihon Spring at Jerusalem, which was no doubt used by Melchizedek, who was also the Primary priesthood figure of the time, and probably used the "temple", or prepared facility for sacrificial rites, which may later have been the model for the rock (the same rock impressions are in both, created after Abraham's test) upon which Abraham was to offer up Isaac! All of this and more refers to the patriarchal priesthood among mankind from Adam on down!

In the scriptures Nephi quoted that his father Lehi read, Manasseh may have been king Manasseh 🤴 as well as a tribe if Manasseh. Manasseh was a tribe located between Benjamin and Judah. Judah occupied much of Jerusalem after King David made it his palace and capital city. As David had more than one tribal lineage Lehi and his wife could have had more than one tribal lineage. The Mulekites arrived from Jezreel Valley long before King [2 Kings 25; 2 Kings 23:10-12] Jehoiachin's uncle Mattaniah aka Zedekiah of Jerusalem's sins were all murdered before this Zedekiah's eyes were put out for disobedience to the King of Babylon. The first Zedekiah of Israel also called Ahaziah, hid in an inner chamber from the Syrians, during the battle against Syria, when the father of Ahaziah aka Zedekiah died. 1 Kings 22 Laban, Leah and Rachael's father was a Syrian. A person of Seir and the father of Sarah and Abraham was a Horite. Some is regarding mountain locations and some is about the various priesthood titles of the pagan deities and what they required of the followers of the pagan God's. Like I wrote to a friend long ago, most people do not want to read or understand the truth concerning the difficult parts of the scriptures, so God gives them very little more truth.

Then didn't Moses' father-in-law in Midian bless Moses with the priesthood of Melchizedek And Pharoah was the high priest of the God of Pharoah and Pharoah was part of the lineage of Moses from Ephraim monarchy and priesthood, even if it was the priesthood of the pagan God of Pharoah. It is possible that Abraham taught Pharoah of his Era well enough to keep the priesthood of God the Hokt Spirit IN Jesus Christ intact until Joseph arrived and taught and married Pharoah, as that Pharoah was female and descended from Hagar the Egyptian handmaid, daughter of Sarah and Pharoah. That Pharoah could not find a higher ranking female to marry and have a child with. Ishmael belonged to Pharoah as Pharaoh's grand son, as well as, Abraham son and as a grand child of Sarah. That way some of the exiles of Judah went to Egypt and Joseph took Mary and Jesus Christ to the same Egypt, not in Africa.

1:47... How can anyone be angry at Christ or how can God the Father or God the Holy Spirit be angry at Jesus Christ? There is a way. However, there are more individuals who are and which are always and often angry at Jesus Christ. If they do it unto you they have done it unto me.
