Mama’s Fish House is my favorite place. The best sunset in Maui. I want the hula girl lamp that sits in the bar. I can’t wait to go again. Next year I hope . Beautiful place. .

Ate here a few times and I always come back to the Stuffed Fish 🐠 . It’s good enough for Sammy Hagar (autograph at entrance) I hear some complain about the price and to me, you get what you pay for. The customer service is exceptional. Mahalo

I have been trying to get a reservation but nothing is opening up on open table. Is it better to just call or go there?

Hi Maria, I just heard that they are booked for the next 8 months!! My suggestion would be to check everyday on Open Table to see if anyone has cancelled on the day you want to go. I know people have been able to get in doing that. Also, they do have a bar area that is first come, first served, that would be best if you are a party of two or three. They do not take reservations over the phone but I do believe you can call same day to see if anyone has cancelled. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Hi Jim, Mama's is definitely a special occasion restaurant. You could plan on spending at least $150/person for dinner that would include one alcoholic beverage and tip. Of course, you could just go for pupus (appetizers) and a drink as well and you could spend less. Honestly, I have never been disappointed with anything and in my view it was money well spent. It's basically impossible to get a reservation here...I'm checking even now for 2 months later and there's zero spots.

I'm sorry you're experiencing that! I promise it is worth the wait if you can plan your vacation around it. I have also had many friends call every day they are there and have been able to jump in on a cancelled reservation or a no-show. I do hope you can get in! Let me know what happens. We were just on Maui (10 days) and were told by the concierge at our resort that mama’s are closed and would be for a long time!! What the heck?

Whatever you do don't take an UBER there. You will be stuck with no ride back. Reserve a ride through a taxi or limo service or shuttle round trip.
