This is the same stuff as Kevin McCarthy going back to Mar a Lago and bending the knee after Jan6. Weak men like these are loyal to Trump until Trump threatens to jail their wife. The phrase that district attorneys could get grand juries to "indict a ham sandwich" originated from Solomon Wachtler who was Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals from 1985 to 1992. Wachtler was arrested on charges including extortion, racketeering, and blackmail. He demanded a $20,000 blackmail payment in exchange for turning over compromising photographs and tapes of Joy Silverman, a woman he was having an affair with. He eventually pleaded guilty to harassing Silverman and threatening to kidnap her daughter. He served 13 months in prison.

It is qualified criminal immunity - "from criminal charges for their official 'core constitutional' acts but not unofficial acts." This has largely been granted to ALL presidents historically, based on a presidential presidency and understanding, but had to be written into law given the weaponization of the DOJ by the DEMS given their unprecedent criminal charges against a former president. @@comedycellarclips The way you people would bend over backwards to defend trump. He didn't mean it, he was clearly joking, trump would never do that type of thing, he's being silly bla bla bla... These are the excuses you trump suckers always make. Like, why can't you just own up to your support of the man without the excuses. You love the type of person that trump is and that includes all the thing that makes him trump. Just say so and don't make excuses.

When I hear it it sounds more like a combat between the courts and their arguments. I still think the rhetoric of those speeches, their timing, etc etc are plenty to fit nicely into the rest of the entire plot btw, but that line doesn't do it for me.

This threw me too. We're saying a (previously) licensed attorney is specifically mentioning trial by combat as opposed to... I dunno... regular trial because he genuinely believes it should be hashed out in court like a regular trial would? Trial by combat is literally "Let's fight and whoever wins is right." I don't see how that can be hand-waved away.

This seemed like a lovely show for about the first half, but once it got onto Trump, I got extremely disappointed. To continue to defend a man who should have some of the highest expectations in the world is crazy to me, especially when the person defending him seems otherwise to be roughly left leaning.

That type of voter is a tiny minority. The actual problematic voters are the low-information, low-IQ voters (yourself included). These people vote based on who celebrities endorse and whoever promises the most things, no matter how unrealistic the proposal is.
