Magoloso OMG! So I helped design a comic based class at my college and one of the books we were reading was Batman: Year One. The professor really liked and asked for examples of what the writer (Miller) had done recently. So I lent her the copy of Holy Terror that someone had given me as a joke. The next day see gave it back to me and asked me if Miller had gone through serious brain damage.

Yes, Invasion! was the event that transitioned it from Kupperberg's relaunch in '87 to the famous Morrison run. this along with in-title events killed off all the members Morrison didn't want, allowing him to create or bring back the characters he wanted to work with

To really enjoy the Invasion books, one should read the Justice League Tie-Ins. That was during the famous Giffen, DeMatteis & Maguire run. All of the weird choices described in this video seem a bit more endearing when you consider them as the backdrop of a popular sit-com. The event itself was probably just an attempt to get all the new Justice League fans to take up interest in other books before things evened out again.

I love DC crossovers but despite this story has so much potentials, it's just mediocre story. It has cool consepts, like using Alien races of DC universe together. But they had used better invudual stories like Daxams in Green Lantern Corp. or Thanagarians in Justice League Animated. The Loeb/Kelly era before Out Worlds At War was pretty cool (i like Emperor Joker, don't judge me) but afterwards that whole black shield mopey thing was pretty annoying, althought Kelly gave a satisfied conclusion to that arc.
