Batman fights the Xenomorphs

This is how i expected Avengers vs Aliens to be. Because Batman, Green Lantern and Superman take on the aliens with ease. Plus there are superpowered xenomorphs.

@@nightmarelyoko the acid blood, at least within the context of that story seems to be able to hurt hulk pretty readily. Sure the acid doesn't burn through his body like it would a normal person. But i imagine if they sent hulk vs 1000 xenomorphs, hulk would probably end up dying since the acid prevents hulks healing factor from working, and if hulk gets drenched in Xenomorphs blood from brawling, he would slowly become less and less effective at fighting, and eventually become overwhelmed from the acids damage and killed or impregnated by a xenomorph. Then its game over became you have a hulked out xenomorph that not only heals from damage at a heightened rate, but gets stronger with its animalistic rage.

Everything made sense until Batman decided to just drop the thing into the ravine. It was for dramatic effect clearly because I don’t think Batman would be foolish enough to drop an alien(even presumed dead) and not know what happened to the remains. He could have just destroyed it just as easily.

This is back before Batman regularly used a grappling gun. He had them, but was more commonly depicted as using a grappling hook on a rope which lets him swing around as opposed to being pulled in one direction. His cape wasn’t a glider at this point either.

The thing about avengers vs xenomorphs is, they are not the main 616 avengers, they are drastically underpowered. Different skill sets and different groups. Its an elseword story made to showcase a dire situation in the marvel world, where as batman and most dc comics are written more consistently, which in turn is these characters are written so closely to their original world counterpart that it looks like they handle it with ease. Another factor is, batman faced about 4 aliens 2 of which was with more or less alittle help. Other two on his own. While the avengers story faced a full scale invasion, something akin to the horde and the annihilation wave. The sheer numbers of them is what overtakes the world. Key differences but fun stories overall

I always thought that eggmorphing which happened to Dallas is what xenos do when their is no queen to lay eggs. They turn a living being into an egg to create a new facehugger which I guess would go on to implant a queen embryo. Brett was down there also already mostly eggmorphed or at least alot further than Dallas was

Batman did use a gun on an alien, down in the sewers of some city, but I forget the story. And it was a humanoid alien with, like, Flash Gordon art. But yeah, he totally used an alien's own hand-cannon to put a big old hole in that sucker. If I recall correctly, he even moralized it with the 'not-human' argument.

With romulus the gestation can be explained away bc rook said (paraphrased) we can't wait for EVOLution(proximis voice) to take place we need to speed up the process. Also the acid be inconsistent too. Aliens melts thru marine armor. Injuries hicks but takes out Vasquez foot. Romulus melts thru flesh/bone.

My own personal explanation about the differing gestation times would be environmental + host factors setting the baseline, while the presence of possible biological catalysts - the black liquid / genesis goo / mutagen used by the Engineers quickly come to mind.

There's another crossover between Batman and the Aliens where a mad scientist cloned Batman's villains gallery then used the clones to spawn Xenomorph doppelgangers. I Specifically remember there being a Joker Xenomoph and a Killer Croc Xenomorph among others.

Batman is like the Borg when it comes to fighting pretty much any enemy. After a few times at most, he knows how to deal with it in the way needed. If there had been no lava, he would have figured out something else. Now, that may not have resulted in its death. But it would have been exactly the correct response in those circumstances. Also cool to see that the host can influence the development of the "alien". I just imagine it face hugging a chihuahua. On the other hand, surely with crazy nuts bite-force of a crocodile, it would have just clamped down on the hugger's embryo insertion thing and crushed it. Maybe it did but the FH was able to squirt that thing down its throat first and it still attached.

Rob as a hardcore alien and predator fan I would like to point out that the gestation period for the aliens vary depending on size with drones and runners coming from smaller animals taking the shortest amount of time and royal aliens which come from praetorian facehuggers taking the longest amount of time.
