Maybe. I mean it is hard to know with Hickman whether something is a bug or a feature. We can never really know what Charles, Moira and Magneto actually know. They appear to allow some things to happen (e.g. the Arako conflict) because they think them necessary. Mystique is, effectively, a pawn between Destiny and Moira.

@@nedayusufi3884 remember Moira in one of her Past Lives got something from Apocalypse in the Timeline where Nimrod was Online, it could be The Blueprints which would allow them to shut him down at anytime or turn him to their side, and them sending the Black Hole which made Orcus believe the Mutants were afraid of them is like a Double "Make Them Believe They're Winning" Plot. Then once Orcus/Nimrod gets over confident and send them all in, Forge just walks up with a Device (and a witty one liner) then Shuts Nimrod Down like it's nothing.

Plausible deniability. They are running a Nation, if the U.S. intelligence community told you everything they did to insure the country's safety would you look at them differently? The same applies here & way Namor brushed them off when Xavier & Mags reached out for him to join him. Namor already knew the difficulties of running a country, especially when it means a strike against that country (see Namor flooding Wakanda). Moria, Xavier & Magneto all know this, the only saving grace now is the other island of majority Omega level mutants

It's just hard to believe in the context of the Marvel universe and all it's villains, that they can find ways to end mutants, but cannot stop villains beneath the threat of mutants. The situation should not get that dire from human opposition while they are all banded together. Yet it is, on top of the potential for Onslaught to appear. It just spells doom for any chance of mutants being able to thrive amongst themselves.

I enjoyed this issue (X-Men #20), we finally are getting somewhere with the major story line of Hickman's X-Men, the last time the story line was brought up was way back in X-Men #6 in February 2020. I also enjoyed X-Men #18 &19 (Which finally discusses & ends a minor story line in Hickman's X-Men which began way back in X-Men #5). When I listen to other comic book channels on KZbin, many are frustrated & disappointed that Hickman is taking so long to tell this story. And yeah Hickman is taking a long time, maybe because he doesn't know how to finish it or maybe the pandemic halted the continuation of the story. We will see how Mystique will handle not getting what she wants in this falls "Inferno', I've heard theory's but all of them seem lame.

To be fair, I don't think that he can control Mystique's thoughts. There's a part in her brain that keeps on morphing, making it impossible for him to read it. But now that I think about it, I'm not sure how they were able to collect her consciousness for resurrection if he can't lol. So you might be right. And if so, seriously Charles? Also, they might actually be trying to piss Mystique off. It sounds weird, but Moira was reading Destiny's diaries, so she would know that Mystique probably already found out that these guys weren't gonna resurrect her. I don't know we'll see lol.

So Forge made it possible to make Cerebro back ups of Mutants so that they can then be revived. Here a human backup has been successfully put into the body of a Sentinel. It makes you wonder if Hickman will create a situation whereas, Mutants are downloaded into Sentinel bodies via some interaction by Forge. On a completely separate note it's always bothered me that Marvel never had Ultron take over the Sentinels. Literally they are plentiful, powerful and very likely easy to hack into.

Nimrod is off the hook. Check out hellions 7 or 8 and Nanny has a baby Nimrod at the end there, it was a whoa moment, apparently overlooked by the pundits. Wish i could check but I'm away traveling.

Honestly, I want the stories in context, so the ones that lead up to this have to be covered. Jumping around between the current story lines and post X of Swords is gonna be jarring. Maybe do the earlier issues weekly by volume (?) then you'll be able to talk about the current issues with everyone on the same jive. Just a suggestion.🤷‍♂️

rob please keep covering all the essential xmen stories. it looks like its about to come to a boil. and we need to see how things play out. if nimrod is back, how will the xmen counter that? what if they have to bring someone immensely powerful back. itd be nice if it was legion or somebody like that who awesome stories swirl around. nate grey. maybe franklin, somehow... still dont know what happened in the fantastic four run where franklin burned out his powers for noreason.
