It’s weird though how people say Christianity is homophobic when Jesus forbade judgment of people’s lifestyles. The bias was a human construct added in by the Roman church, not Christ’s philosophy. Also it’s interesting how nobody mentions the misogyny and homophobia perpetrated in Islamic communities!

christianity on it's own may not be homophobic (although it seems like theologists haven't come to a consensus as of now), Christians definitely use the Bible to justify homophobia and/or sincerely believe God is against the gays. I appreciate that you want to add nuance to the notion: "christianity = homophobic" which is also incorrect in my opinion but it's important to acknowledge that Christianity and it's culture has had a big negative effect on the safety and the discrimination of the lgbtq+ community even if it' not (or may not be) what Jesus stands for. I personally also come across quite some critisism against islam, especially when it comes to gender roles and sexuality, I do think you may see less talk of it in the west because christianity is more prevalent. Julia herself comes from a Catholic country so it's only normal that she's calling out the group that has had an effect on her life.

This may be controversial but im going to say it anyway, I really like Julia's music (and her channel, her vibe, personality and love for Eileen, who i hold in high respect and always have: her Storytimes are legendary) but i think shes definitely been there and done that now with sexy, seductive music videos and the Gothic/vampire themes. I think a paired - down, keepin it real type of video is now the direction she should head in. A video all about the music, no sexy stuff (not that it isnt lovely to see, of course and artistically produced) but how about more of a jeans & a T shirt, mininal make up, this is me kind of theme? I think something along those lines could be truly beautiful, honest, put the focus on Julia's stunning singing voice and just be different & i daresay surpise a few people....in a really good and quite clever way. No need for hiring Gothic mansions or choreographing groups of uber sexy lesbian dancers, no cleavage or PVC outfits, no licking food off each other, no seductive vibes, just our beloved Julia singing in a nondescript or even mundane location, looking into the camera looking natural and dressed down, just captivating us with her music and her vibe ! Please consider it Julia, if you read this. Im in no way prudish or taking away from the decadence and splendour of your sexy vids, i just have this image of a stripped back you, simply being yourself in a somewhat nonchalant way, with the passion and intensity coming from deep within your soul and hitting your audience through the look in your eye and as i said earlier, simply your wonderful, enchanting voice. I know you like your fussy, decadent vibe but even you in jeans with no make up could never be 'basic ' ...... the sexy and the passionate stuff is within you and you dont have to prove yourself to anyone, which is why i think my suggestion could make people sit up and listen instead of being dare I say it, distracted from your music and the real you by the props and locations and sexiness ....just for a change ? 🎶 💕
