god,, i hate how i explained it to a friend i trusted and like.. she's a few years older than me and she put her hand on my shoulder and she just said, "oh dont worry. that isnt real, you'll start wanting to do things soon." like,, no?? i wont?? and this is very real,, like aGh i wish i didnt come out to her :/

At a certain age, it's the other way around. Then, people will reassure you that that's completely normal for "older folks". Or after childbirth. Or in a long-term relationship.

@@childline you need a texting service. Most counselling services have that these days. Kids feel safer and more able to express how they feel without pressure, via text message. Add the service. Other counselling services around the world have and there is a higher response with this service.

Hi, this page tells you about all the different ways to talk to Childline - www.childline.org.uk/get-support/. There's a video too. As well as calling, you can talk online in chat and through email. And no matter how you contact the counsellors, it's about saying how you feel and explaining things in a way that works for you. When you call, you'll hear a recorded message that gives you some different options and you can choose which number to press. If you choose the counsellor option, you will go through to talk to someone and they will start by saying hi, and ask you what you'd like to talk about. You can take it from there at your own pace and ask them any questions at all too.
