Glad you liked it! I too got pretty lost in the first game. It is kind of amazing how much I ended up remembering though. Haha. This one is much more streamlined. Makes learning much easier.

Now I am really curious how you will find the submarines in this game. I gave it a try today but from watching Cold Waters compared to my gameplay. I really recommend you start of with the tutorials because they explain how sonar works here. And I find it very different compared to Cold Waters. I will give you a hint on how to ID an enemy in these scenarios (very safely and I mean air and surface scenarios). Sometimes they emit radar, if it is Generic navigational radar you are safe (I did not see a hostile using that - yet!). If it is beeping something else (depending on contact especially search radars can be easily identified even passively). In this case they were blinking some Rangout FCR (firecontrol) surface to surface search radar. Anyway keep it up! This simulation is not easy. And I am glad to see how someone elses mind works on this, I hope you make it to Desert Storm. I will keep you posted on what I have figured out during my 100 hours of gameplay if I see some hints you might be missing. Cheers!

This so reminds me of playing Harpoon about 25 years ago. Might have to check this one out.

Yes, this game is kind of a sequel to various versions of Larry Bond's Harpoon, albeit (if my understanding is correct) developed by a different company.

Tee hee. The developers all got fed up with Harpoon's "missing" bits and just decided to do something better that used a computer's potential to model things like satellites. EDIT: Most of them were regular posters on "HarpoonHQ", if you ever logged in there you might recognize some of the developers names.

A really good scenario to start with is canary's cage, it is somewhat complicated so it is good to do the tutorials first

The reason they was still engaging the Styx was because of all the civilian traffic the missiles might of locked onto and put in danger. That would be a blackeye if anyone of them might of taken a round and the Israeli's didn't try to at least put a stop to them.

Seems a little overkill to use more than one missile on a PT boat. I think the sub hunt will be a great mission. You're sort of experienced with modern ASW efforts due to your Cold Waters playthroughs.

Hmm, the mission has that the INS Mivtach had gabriel ssm's. In fact, it did not. It was the only one of the ships to not carry any, whereas the Ga'ash, Reshef, Mznak and Hanit did.

Great simple scenario thank you! I really enjoyed watching it. I’m guessing the Syrians have no way of wining if you switch sides - which I guess is why this is more a simulation and less a game. I understand in RL the Syrians were still docked when they fired their first missiles ... and hit some neutral merchants. Thanks again I enjoy your channel.

Talk about overkill, using a missile on a MTB. Edit: Two now for a MTB, damn. Guess you had more than enough missiles to finish the job though. Set up a battle between a USN surface task group and a Russian surface group with their battlecruiser if its in the game. Be curious to see how that would go
