Planeswalkers are hard to design. Wizards has made the mistake of aiming too low in the past. They seem to have gotten better in the last four or five years, though.

Sure, not all Planeswalker cards are created equal, and certainly not all their main characters planeswalker cards are gonna be standard/constructed playable. However, I still think they learned their lesson on how not to make another Tibalt and I certainly think they would try to make sure that one of their main characters doesn't have the title of worst planeswalker card ever made.

Then when it prompted you again to choose, what it was basically saying due to Krark's Thumb was "Two coins were flipped. One coin was heads, the other was tails, which one do you want?" So you called heads, and then chose the coin that landed tails, making yourself lose.

Either ribbing each other, disjointed alliances, to draw cards or not to draw cards, it's my favorite part of this series; this is a great dynamic. Sure I'd wish for more budgeted decks but man this is my favorite EDH gameplay on KZbin. Great game everyone!

I think Godo is pretty indefensible. Sure, he synergizes with the commanders and the deck's plan, but when he's on the board, the best play isn't to make your commanders better, it's to use him to take infinite combat steps and win. Grabbing helm of the host is almost always the best play, which means that ignoring the coin-flip theme of the deck is almost always the best play. It would have been fine with no helm of the host. Once the helm of the host is there, there's no reason to do anything else with him. Relying on someone to blow up the helm or disrupt the infinite just so you can fall back to what is ostensibly the main point of your deck is a pretty flimsy justification for including both pieces. If it was unintentional: both pieces got added independently because of their synergies with the rest of the deck, then that's an honest mistake, and those kinds of things happen occasionally. Still ruined the end of the game though once timing ended up not being an issue. That said, I thought this episode was otherwise great. Impulsive maneuvers' game warping effect was hilarious. It's always great to see Seth take up the position of board janitor, especially when it was never part of his plan. Richard surprisingly didn't win out of nowhere. For once he seemed like the most dangerous for pretty much the whole game. I always find Vince getting hated out to be pretty funny, especially when it's undeserved. Overall a very fun episode.

While I do see your point in it seeming to just make your main point of the deck irrelevant, is the point of every deck not to win? Now sure I understand it's commander and it's meant for fun, but the cards do synergize with his deck really well, and honestly Coin flips needs all the help it can get to be decent. Its like chaos where it either is really good, or really bad depending on "luck" or "fate" or whatever. Every deck needs something that'll help it be consistent and actually perform at a higher level. Not everyone can play just pure jank and crap and win every week. To me, while some could see the combo as boring, extra combat steps is not something we see on Commander Clash. We don't see these cards or really even these archetypes and that's makes it more exciting for me. As someone that plays a lot of Naya commanders, it's fun to see someone do something besides control and spell slinging. That's just me personally though. Commander Clash isn't for just one person, and they can't make everyone happy. While relationships between Vince and Tomer seem to be heated a bit, I'm sure it's likely just their personalities clashing and the way they joke around. Commander is meant to be fun and trying new combos, flipping coins and turning creatures sideways counts as that for some people. I would give the group a break. They spend a lot of time trying to come up with good themes, getting a feel for new players play-styles and deck building, and all around on these videos.

While I don't have a problem with the banter from the group and I do think the comment section should chill on some things. I do disagree that Vince has only played one spike decks. I think Vince suffers from the same problem Jen had, which is they played decks that looks scary and certainly competitive to the meta, but like most decks it can't dealing with multiple decks targeting it. Where as Tomer's decks vary from janky to competitive to the meta and some of them look janky on the surface, but turn out to be stronger. Perhaps Vince needs to play Moonfolk tribal a few times before bringing out another spike deck to reset what the other player are expecting power wise, lol. Okay, perhaps not Moonfolk, but everyone gets the idea. The other thing that I think hurts Vince is at time he does voice out his intentions or trying to make a deal at the wrong time. For example, in this game he let Tomer know he was gonna blow up Tomer's Krak's Thumb just before Tomer turn. It's not surprising that Tomer retaliated. If you're the player that has his thing target by another player, especially when another player has a Cathar's Crusade in play and that other player is looking more like a threat, you're gonna retaliate. Granted, letting Tomer keep Krak's Thumb may be equally dangerous, but it's also not surprising that Tomer would retaliate. Sorry for the long post.

I haven't seen the game yet, but everytime Tomer plays a red deck, he wins with a combo. So, I think that's what's going to happen. Everyone will let Tomer resolve his spells, because he's so whiny, then he will win because of that. And by the way, it's gonna be a combo that has nothing to do with the rest of his deck.

@@vipper57779 Yes, it is annoying. I do like combo decks, when the deck goes around such combo, and you have to accomplish several stuff before doing it. But just sticking in a 2 card combo that requires nothing from the deck (maybe just a tutor) it's kind of cheap. Tomer could just as easy play a godo deck with 98 lands (and maybe some ramp), and the helm, and still get the exact same result. No interaction or actual skills needed.

So i finally have a gripe abot Vince. Ive been quite enjoying him and felt like he was a realistic voice of reason. Hes the kind of player i am in real games and not the guy for the camera. My gripe with him is how much hes reminding me how annoying Tomer gets. He gets salty over literal everythig whines whenever anything goes wrong and always plays the victim card. Cop white is much much worse than playing literal counterspell. He freaks out over every card Vince plays ever then wins with Godo combo? Wtf? And dude when it says choose a result to keep and what you dont choose will be ignored that is NOT the time to pick tails. I know this comes of as harsh but i do love the whole crew. Tomer builds really neat decks and hes durdlenaught to the max (just like me) but seriously. Seeing him interact with everyone else (espicially Vince) hurts. The victim card and spite are just ridiculous. I.e. "Im just gaining infinite life thats not threatening at all i just dont wanna die. Whats waaayyyyy worse is the random 5 mana do nothing enchantment someone else played"

The interesting part about coinflips with the Thumb is that it's actually 50% to get one of each result. There are technically for different results possible with the thumb out: 1: double heads. 2: First heads, second tails. 3: First tails, second heads and 4: double tails. It's not entirely intuitive that there are two distinct "one-of-each" results, but mathematically that's how it checks out (since 2 results out of the 4 possible result in essentially the same thing).

So I'm probably done with commander clash mostly because of toner really he always seems to have a problem with someone each season and never let's go of it theres time people neuter they're deck from him and he does nothing but hate on them. This may seem like a negative view but kinda takes they joy out of watching when half the table is bummed out cause tomer gets to do what he wants yet Vince cant play a jace or Tom jus gets salty and Tom never seemed as salty on his own stream just when toner was here but either way keep up what u guys r doing goldfish enjoy life and free world

"Is there something that gives your lands hexproof?" Privileged Position gives all permanents you control hexproof. Spiritual Asylum gives all lands (and creatures) you control shroud. Not sure if there are any others.

At 56:10, Richard could have Strip Mine'd Seth's Steam Vents in response to the fetch to prevent the Counterspell - he knew Seth needed both his Mana for whatever he planned, otherwise he wouldn't have fetched, and his huge Knights surviving the Blasphemous Act with Cathar's Crusade still on the field and no on able to do anything against it would have surely won him the game.

Tomer not tutoring Buried Ruin off Expedition Map to get back Krark's tumb was a huge punt. Also a few of the coinflip cards in his decklist have been oracled to not a a winner/loser and don't trigger the commanders.

I think it went well. A two hour game can and should sometimes end in a combo, even if off flavor, and even if Tomer lies about it. It's still entertaining. Vince is my favorite 4th so far. Tomer is hilarious. I'd wish they'd use less of a ban list and budgets and add more deckbuilding incentives.

I'm surprised that Tomer didn't put assault suit in his deck. That is in my deck because it triples the possible card draw Zndrsplt could have if Okaum went round the table

talking about strip mine, i used to play magic at college, i would say by the time i was done there i'd played at least a couple times with 40-50 different people, in all that time i only saw strip mine once in a deck (part of a titania deck). me and another guy who played regularly both had gaea's cradle so i feel if it had been there i would have seen it a lot more.

I would like to see godo/helm of the host soft banned. You saw this game how it can just randomly end the game as a 1 card combo and that's what it took to ban insurrection. It was totally wildly off theme with tomer's deck and wasn't really enjoyable to see happen in the slightest.

Whats wrong with tomer’s behavior its just getting worse every single video. Like others in the comments he just unnecessarily targets vince and plays stupid comboes while whining about others. I have watched many commander clash videos and hes the one comboing with kiki, omniscience whilst they have nothing to do with his deck. Especially the targeting of vince, hate to say it but hes the most relatable out of you lot and targeting him makes it feel like you are targeting out your own audience.
