Every time he does something impressive/heroic he tries to diminish it to himself. I've seen some say, and I agree with them, this is because in his first battle he attempted to flee, and this experience has coloured his own view of himself ever since.

What I love about imperial guard is that when you take control of orbital cannons in blood raven stronghold you can use command centre to show you the blood raven base and 2 shot it without even getting close

@@Soldadodelasombra the Imperial Guard HQ has a radar scan ability, that reveals a section of the map, with any stealth units in it. The Blood Raven stronghold has an orbital relay building you can capture, and then use to trick the Blood Raven ship in orbit into bombing their own forces. Put these 2 things together, you can simply barricade the Blood Ravens into their main base, and bomb them at your leisure.

@@robfus conflicting orders. The Blood Ravens were ordered by Chapter Master (and Chief Librarian) Kyras to purge the planet and collect relics. The Guard were ordered to reclaim the planet for the Imperium, kill Taldeer and secure the Titan Weapon. The orders of each interfered with that of the other.

Even the Inquisition has a limited capacity in what it can order a Chapter to do without declaring it Excommunicate Traitoris. The Blood Ravens are hardly going to take notice of what a jumped up little minor general like Lukas Alexander. After the Kronus Campaign the Inquisition found the Blood Ravens were well within their rights to claim overall command of the campaign, and it was the fault of Alexander that the two forces came to bloodshed.

One of the best parts about Dark Crusade is you can have these vastly different stories. On my end, I really struggled to put down the IG as Chaos, partly due to poor luck, partly due to vastly over-estimating my abilities. Had to chase him around the map and knock out everyone else ASAP so it was just me and the Governor I got pushed back from his stronghold, hard, and needed to find something else... Then, I found the Khornate blessing map, and after getting it, I spearheaded right into the base with all the demons I could spam. Felt so good to watch him get torn apart by dark magic. Such a cool game

Tau: easily win everytime you attack due to stealthsuit shenanigans. Also tau: Get attacked by chaos and lose from a honourguard defiler in your base 53 seconds into the game.

@Taldeer yeah Tau is by far the most dangerous faction on both dark crusade and soulstorm, imperial guard a close second. I usually target tau asap aswell. Regarding that map i know it very well cuz the first base is on your left and on an annoying hig ground ... Btw vs two bases the strategy is usually to rush out tier 1 as soon as possible and zerg the weakest base before the bigger one has time to fully pump out an army, honor guard and province reinforcements help a lot on these kind of rushes, regarding eldar the Howling Banshee squad is perfect for rushes

@Taldeer Had a similar experience as chaos vs a 10 req Tau province, luckily i had all strongholds defeated on that planet before attacking, took me two hours to break tau even with full HG cuz altough the minor base was easy to break, the main one was producing endless numbers and only attrition gave me the final victory
