Consistency is something I finally got the hang of this year and it changed my entire life. First it came with lifting, no matter how bad I wanted to not go I made myself, every single day NO MATTER WHAT. Eat right, sleep right EVERY DAY. My body began changing weekly, then I started running and again CONSISTENT I never ever miss a run, I never quit early, no matter what and my progress is taking off like I never imagined it could. I made more progress with my body in these months than I have in the whole rest of my life. I've now transferred it over to all my other aspects of life such as work, etc and the results are the same. No matter how much I dont feel like doing something that day I just freaking do it. The results are beautiful, simply beautiful.

This is something I'm currently battling with myself. I've almost been there a few times but it's not quite been 100%. I fully respect and understand this comment and it got me pumped for my week ahead. Go get it 💪🏻

@@legitlee8359 tip that helped me alot, when I think about how much it's gonna suck I think about how amazing you feel afterwards. You know what I mean. It's like when you get done with a run, that you didn't even feel like doing and once it's over you just feel AMAZING, like you can do anything......think about that feeling when you don't feel like doing something. You got this man!
@legitlee83593 жыл бұрын
@@nomaderic Yea I get that my man. I've kinda been doing that the last couple of weeks,I remembered how good it will feel to just do it,stop over thinking it,doubting if you're capable or even if you've stopped believing you are,just get it done and be a fucking badass! I think once you decide that in your mind and get that drive for consistency back the sky is the limit,we are capable of great things

Consistency is something that makes me feel successful and helps me have a clear head. Whether it's in running, lifting, KZbin videos, or keeping up with relationships. I've been improving on all of these this year, and good things have started to happen that I never thought would ever happen.

Nick, keep inspiring. I ran a 3:02:22 this past weekend in a failed Boston Qualifier attempt at Little Rock, Arkansas. Your video on the process will keep pushing me forward to lace up again next spring. I am a creator, so I have taken a lot from your team's cinematography to apply to my race vlogs. GOM

Hey Nick, Quick tip on loading the weight for deadlifts. Put a 5lbs plat under the inner plate which will lift the bar above the ground and you can load or deload any weight on and off the bar easily. Its a game changer Awesome video!

I agree, although I don't like him shilling his supplements all the time, I think he has great content and has helped a lot of people.
@Alex-pt5no3 жыл бұрын
Excessively sells his supplements, speaks in never-ending boring platitudes about 'hardwork' and uses gear. The concept around his channel is interesting (and what an athlete!), but reality is - he isn't interesting. Took me a while to come to terms with that as I really wanted to like him.
@Khaled-F3 жыл бұрын
@@Alex-pt5no well I think a lot of people from this generation could use a word or two about hard work and to see what it looks like. Also, being on gear does not erase the time and effort that he has put into becoming the person that he is now. And what do you mean by he’s not interesting? Does he have to make viral videos like 10,000 calorie challenges, squatting 500 on a hoverboard, or staying in the sauna for 10 hours in order to be "interesting"? Idk about you, but to me, owning a successful business, having an aesthetic body, being moderately strong in the gym, completing Ironmans and ultramarathons at his weight seems pretty interesting to me, and I’d want to learn a thing or two from someone like that. I just think that he doesn’t have many followers yet because he doesn’t partake in dumb challenges and stuff that would go viral, and he’s extremely focused on his goals.

Trick for loading a heavy bar: put a plate on the ground and roll the 45’s that are already on the barbell onto the plate. This way you don’t need to lift the end of the heavy barbell to add your weights.

Mr. Bare, I picked up running again after a 6 year break and after gaining quite an amount of weight. As soon as I was starting to enjoy running again, I got a shin splint. How do you avoid them? Any tips for an overweight yet motivated runner who is extremely frustrated by shin splints? Originally I am a swimmer so I've never been really good on my two legs... anyways, thank you for the great content as always!
@kylewatts33923 жыл бұрын
I’ve had a lot of on-off shin splints through the years. The biggest thing, once you feel them coming on, rest. The more you “push through it” the longer it will take to recover. The best way to avoid them all together is to start mileage and stress slowly. If you’re not walking or running and all of a sudden are hitting 15-20 miles a week, your body hasn’t strengthened enough to be ready for that. I’ve found start with walking 3 times the first week for 45 minutes at an easy pace, the next week 5 days, and then jog one of those days the following week, etc. Just continually get your body used to the impact of walking and running. It’s frustrating when you know what you’re capable of but have to start at the bottom of the ladder again, but you’ll get back to where you were in no time!! Hope that helps 😁👍

I find that having a good pair of running shoes helps a lot. You can go to a specialty running store where your foot stride will be observed and the staff can make the best judgment for the shoes you'll need. Also, not sure if this will help, but I highly recommend Brooks running shoes.
