Might add this to your 'training your stomach' segment. When your legs are taking up more of the blood supply, the system shunts some blood away from the gut. Your digestion slows, but your calorie input increases due to training/racing, loading up the stomach and on occasions causing gastric distress. Simulation training as you mentioned and knowing the boundaries of what you can and can't take on from a nutrition source. Fun stuff! when you get it right.

Fueling during endurance training is super tedious. I tried G1M and got discouraged because my stomach didn’t feel right. But with consistency, half scoops during 5+ milers. I felt ready for and 15+, recovery went smoother as well. Carbs baby

This is because muscle training releases a variety of brain hormones that have a positive impact on mental health. Specifically, dopamine, which is known as the happy substance, serotonin, which is responsible for mental stability and uplifts the mood, and testosterone, which is involved in motivation. Testosterone, for example, has the effect of increasing motivation as well as a competitive spirit. When we take positive action without fear of failure and achieve some kind of success, the hormones in our brain are released, making us want to succeed again and aim higher. As you build up your achievements in this way, you will gain confidence. This confidence will not be easily destroyed and will support you throughout your life. Also, research has shown that muscle training can prevent depression. If you feel weak or depressed easily, please try strength training!

A colleague of mine regularly ran long distances. Unfortunately, he also suffered a heart attack. You can't outrun a bad diet. Frequently eating more carbohydrate/protein than the body needs stimulates too much insulin, causing chronic ill-health. 12% of calories from protein and 25% carbohydrate is about optimal. Most of our energy is derived from fat (body-fat is 3:2 monounsaturated to saturated, with just 3% EFAs). We don't get fit by running race-pace marathons of course. That just leads to over-training, impairing recovery, impairing immunity, impairing health.

It’s nice what he does but it’s overkill. If you follow what he does exactly you will be spending 200-300 a month just in supplements. He goes overkill because it doesn’t come out of his pocket. For the rest us, just add salt to your water and run! My old cross country coach use to make us eat a banana and salt water before our meets !!!

Always an average person trying to dumb down the extraordinary. As a Hybrid Athlete I need more than saltwater. If I was 150 that may work but with that amount of muscle you have to supplement different.

Why beef tallow? Surely you could use a healthier fat source, like EVOO
@warriorsinagarden3 жыл бұрын
The only acceptable plant based fats in my house are in this order, avocado oil, coconut oil, then olive oil. Not saying EVOO is worst thing ever. But not optimal. Definately stay away from canola, soy, corn, rapeseed, and other seed oils ☠⚠️☢☣

@@AdamIsMyNameO correct 👍 stands for extra Virginia olive oil, which refers to the fact that it has been cold pressed from the olive, not removed by heat or chemical processes. Not trying to hate on you bro 🤙 just trying to share some knowledge bombs. I guaruntee that whatever you're cooking at home with EVOO is 100x better than whipping through the fast food drive thru and I give you props for that man! My health journey has taken me down the bro science diets, vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, there's a lot of misinformation out there and I'm not saying I have all the answers. Was just letting you know that you don't have to be scared of good high quality animal fats 🤙 Hope your day is blessed fellow Adam 🤣
@AdamIsMyNameO3 жыл бұрын
@@warriorsinagarden I don't COOK with the oil though, so it's not becoming damaged. if I cook with anything, it's usually Avocado oil. There's no reason to rely on high saturated fat oils for cooking... they're all going to negatively impact blood lipids. Im not sure what you mean by 'high quality animal fats'... like what? The only high quality animal fat is Omega-3 from Fish... there's zero supportive evidence for the use of any animal fats beyond that. Beef tallow would be an awful choice for anyone, just like butter would. They are all linked to heart issues.
