I took Stonnie’s online class two years ago, and learned so much, even after decades of dog ownership. People regularly comment on how well-behaved my dog is. We’ve since added a puppy, who has learned everything from the first dog, with very little effort on my part. Stonnie is a dog genius. So glad I found him.

I dont need anyone to tell me how smart, how obedient, how friendly, how confident, how non reactive, stable, focused and talented my dog is. If you've seen any of her pup videos on KZbin you will know what I mean. I have taught her most of the stuff she does my self with some help as a pup/pupster from a local working dog trainer. But hand on heart, watching all of Stonnies pup vids before we even got her is what cast the solid foundations for the the solid dog she grew into.

I have a blue cattle dog cross kelpie puppy that I got last Saturday and have been having problems with teething and toilet training. I've tried all other techniques including the Cesar Milan ones. I've been doing this technique for only 24 hours and she's a new dog. Thank you so much! She's no longer chewing us and she hasn't had an accident inside so far. youre surprised because you idiots are as stupid as the 99 percent of dogpeople who seem to like it when dogs get diabetes and probably dies rom it aswell because you cant stop giving them candy everytime they do something good instead of praising them or play with a toy and tell them theyve done a good job
@Majorbrownfinger6 жыл бұрын
@@matslund2154 give them candy. What are you talking about. Did you not hear the part where he said the treats are 50% of the dogs rations. Everything is measured and accounted for. Stonnie isn't condoning over feeding. You need to listen better.
@matslund21546 жыл бұрын
@@Majorbrownfinger stupid! i meant you dont give treats everytime the dog does something good, you dont need that imshit, imagine youre kid getting candy all the time he gets an a, he will be fat and have diabetes before hes 15 and itll be your fault, why be so stupid with your dog when you can just pet them and say they done a good job or use a toy, theres so many things that can be used as positive reinforcement, for example your dog likes to rush outside the door, if you get your dog to sit and wait til you tell it to follow you, you, letting the dog go pee will be positive reinforcement, use common sense, dont learn the dog ro get excited around food

hello, just found your channel. Looking for videos about training puppies with lack of socialization behaviors. I have a 2 year old well trained and well behaved dog I have had since he was able to leave his mom, so it was easy to get him to do what was expected. However, I rescued a 6 month old puppy with a few behaviors from lack of early socialization. Hes 7 months now and my older dog has helped a ton but still needs some work with excessive barking at objects, my usual "go check it out" isn't having fast progress for outside spooks and less of indoors now. He gets so worked up so easily and hard to calm down, though in the house he almost has mastered a calm cue reliably that is not working so well for the yard still.

An amazing way to train, I'm really good with dogs and my last dog I trained to sit, lay down and come with both hand and voice commands and as he got older I petted him and praised him instead of giving him treats, but I will definitely use this method of training for my new puppy. I love the idea of using his food rations I didn't think of that I usually train in multiple short sessions cause I dont want my puppy getting sick from treats and it is better for puppies attention spans.
