I think WoW or Diablo had something similar where you could put in 4 random items and get something random out. In this case, the forge has a lot of set item combinations and a few with random results

Probably worth mentioning that the mystic forger daily (when it pops up) gives you a mystic coin for completing. And you can do it super quick by buying 4 super cheap blue items on trading post.

@@BiqqHairrPhrankiee69 every day there is a random list of tasks you can do, you need to complete three to get 2 gold and 2 spirit shards. Occasionally one of the tasks is to make something in the mystic forge, so when you complete that task you get a bonus mystic coin

It's worth noting that you can also get one mystic coin daily from the Ley Line anomaly event

Actually you can get three mystic coins each day, one from each map the anomaly spawns on iron marches gendarran and timberline...

Just want to add the bit for those who didn't know... Mystic Clovers can be bought at an NPC in the Fractal Lobby. You still need a couple of Mystic Coins but you can be assured of 2 Mystic Clovers per day if you aren't in a rush.

The primer recipes are useful that extend the duration of your food and utility consumables up to 2 hours, if you have the four special flowers in your custom garden in your home instance.

Nice review! A couple things: Spend Karma to get obsidian shards in Orr - 2,100 karma per obsidian shard Material conversions are 50 T5, not 250 Check prices on the mystic forge conduit vs the raw materials. It may be cheaper just to buy the conduit.

Mat conversion varies, for Fine Mats like Blood it's 50 but for things like Leather and Wood it's 250. The output amount also varies accordingly.

You can also trade in tomes of knowledge for spirit shards: 1 tome = 1 spirit shard

The mystic forge amalgamated gemstone recipe is really good too. But use the bulk recipe... it is actually cheaper per item and the rare drop from it is worth way more

Worth noting that other than the stat swap and forge conduit all these recipe have been in since the launch of the game, along with many unique exotics with skins can can only be acquired by forging also have been available since launch. Contrary to “the only thing to do was throw 4 rare/exotics in.”

I don't remember there being ascended gear when the game came out?? Was there? I just came back to gw2 after a 6 year or so break. I just remember doing all the dungeons and t1 fractals because there was no t2-4 and I don't think there were any raids either. That grew old so me and my guildies all quit

The cores => lodestone is also a good one and different to the T5 to T6 you mentioned in the vid 2 Cores + 1 Bottle of Elonian Wine + 1 Pile of Crystalline Dust + 1 Mystic Crystal = 1 Lodestone (amounts don't have to be exact)

Been using the portable MF Conduit for years as i used to have a bad computer and couldnt load Lions Arch whenever i needed it, has been wonderful so far, being able to throw whatever i want in wherever i am, its totally worth crafting

I used to do dungeons every night with a couple friends, and spent the dungeon tokens on the exotic dungeon weapons. I always traded the tokens for greatswords, and after several attempts, I ended up getting a Dawn. A couple days later, I got another one the same way. :)

***another tip for obsidian shards*** Go to Straights of Devastation and do the Temple of Balthazar meta event. At the end Tactician Deathstrider will sell obsi shards for 2100 karma, in case you have a lot of karma stockpiled.

The best way (if easiest and least time consuming is "best") to gain obsidian shards is buying them for karma which everyone probably has an excess of ^^

Karma is useful for all sorts of stuff and I used most of mine. If you play heart of thorns content a lot the ley-energy convertor allows you swap your excess aircraft parts for obsidian shards and other stuff.

In my opinion Silverwaste is far better from any option. Do meta event, then chest farm with good commander. Obsidian shards will be raining. Best part of this option is, you are not exchanging or paying, instead you are gaining. (Gold, materials etc.)

farming winterberries to consume them is the best way for obsidian shards. you get unbound magic from the berries which you in turn buy obs shards with. with 10 char i can gather 500 berries a day in about 1h. it goves me about 12k unbound magic which in turn is 120 obs shards.

or you can do hot meta and buy them with karma and hot currency along while gaining lot more other loot too instead of berries which will convert just into OS and nothing more for the time spend.

@@hayato9898 haha yeah i do the same however 6 precursors last one yesterday ^^ and my own ecto plasma gamble trader to go are worth it ( the traderportal also allows for selling stuff so no more junk items that take place in my inventory ;)) Also gambling ectos can actually be quite positive if you manage to keep youre greed in check. With the rule to not gamble more than 1 win per day it you can actually win up to 1000 gold per week depending on ectoplasm glob prices of course. But I get very greedy al lthe time XD

Can you post a screenshot of your graphics settings? Or do a video for optimized graphics options? My processor is from 2016. i7 6700k. And a gtx 1080. But I get like 40-50 fps in Lions Arch. I get a good frame rate outside LA. But your video you have a really good frame rate in LA. I'm sure your PC is newer but I'm curious which options are an FPS hog that can be disabled without making the game look like crap.

Mystic Salvage kit has a higher chance to get better quality items. That being said, I'd mostly use it on higher level rare or better gear. The salvage o matic is the same as a basic kit but is basically unlimited and great for lower level gear.

The Mystic Salvage kit comes in handy when chopping up a stack of Ectos to get Crystalline Dust for promoting T5 mats to T6. Which is a great way to consume luck to max out your magic find while also making tons of gold selling T6 materials.

The material promo recipe is incorrect. You need 50 of a t5 mat, not 250. 250 is only for promoting dust and its very much not worth promoting dust. Use your spirit shards to make gold. I won't tell you how or how to get rich off it but I made 100g in about 1hr of clicking in the forge and I started with 4g. 1k gold in 2 weeks here I come.

It still a toilet. Mystic Forge is the main symbol of this game. It show you than GW2 is a cash casino. If you want stuff, you need to give money to Anet. Everything is made to force you to use your credit card. From junk "quest/usefull" item filling your inventory (those item than you can't really sell to the merchant because you know than you can need it later) to garbage chest reward (those armor reward who give you junk armor, if you recycle them, you get few material, i still don't believe than it's rewarding) to TON of garbage chest (like Tahir where you can drop 20 chest in one run, but chest full of garbage). Those Legendary & Mystic Forge features are crap. Hundred hours of Farming a coin to put it in a casino cash machine and not even be sure than you will get what you want.
