I just don't get why they all fall to the floor, ROFL isn't what we really do...maybe roll out of your chair/off your bed laughing (which I'm sure is rare), but not laughing mad falling down? I know, I know, questioning illogical things gets you nowhere.

Its not illogical because spoiler alert . . . . . . . The amulet gives the player the ability to cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter once you complete the Amulet quest, which incapacitates whoever it's cast on by forcing them to actually ROFL
