You sound great on these pieces- I am curious, which one has more resistance? Thx and keep up the nice sound!!

Very educational and amusing but would have liked to have heard some ballad-style playing with longer notes.

What is the sound if yts 62 with Theo Wanne durga metal mouthpiece? Thank you very much🙏🏻
@bendymetaljazzdoodad69204 жыл бұрын
I actually play a durga now. It's a bit brighter and more resistant than the jody pieces. Try it and see if you like it!

Bendy Metal Jazz Doodad Do you mean that just like jody jazz dv bright? Thank you
@bendymetaljazzdoodad69204 жыл бұрын
@@Matt-gs1rl maybe a bit brighter. It's just a different sound really. They're very different in feel.

I have a couple of Jody mp,I find that all either a pitch above or below where i they should be, went out and bought a retro revival super D replica tone master New York, out of the box , smack in tune
@bendymetaljazzdoodad69204 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't have either of these anymore. I switched to theo wanne pieces and they are much better with intonation. Still loved the sound of the DV though. Maybe someday jody will make an updated version that's a bit less extreme.

@@bendymetaljazzdoodad6920 I have a Durga 3 , same thing with pitch , too sharp , tried adjustments
@bendymetaljazzdoodad69204 жыл бұрын
@@johnfilardi sometimes the high baffle can make the pitch sharp. I have naturally darker sound so when I play a bright piece I find I can deal with the pitch most times. If you want a brighter piece to go along with the RR maybe try something with a smaller chamber but with less baffle. Like a jody jazz jet or beechler diamond inlay.

Is that yts62 with jodyjazz chicago in the first half of the video? Thank you very much

I have a DV CHI Tenor. It is very free blowing and provides me with filling a beautiful tone, but find it hard to keep the altissimo in tune. So, I don’t think that was just you that f***d it up...
@bendymetaljazzdoodad69204 жыл бұрын
Lol thanks. I don't have the jody pieces anymore cause they were too hard to keep in tune in general. I got a Theo Wanne Gaia a few months ago that I'm really diggin and seems to be more controllable.
