China isn’t interested in investing in Central and South America for the good of native people. Instead, it is using debt to capture and control the region for its sole benefit. Don’t be so gullible. Communist forces have been killing South and Central Americans for decades. I point this out as someone who has been threatened by them on numerous occasions in that region of the world. A U.S. presence in the region was the only thing which prevented greater bloodshed.

@@chua2237 Your racism and selective memory haven’t wiped away Chinese history. You may have conveniently forgotten the heinous crimes committed by Mao and the Gang of Four along with the CCP, but the rest of the world has not. We’re talking about the past and present theft of western intellectual property and trade secrets, trade cheating, Uighur slavery, starvation and deaths of millions of Chinese, the CCP’s war mongering across Asia, invasion of Tibet and the decades of oppression/executions inflicted upon Tibetans, and the tyranny and oppression of millions over decades. But, I have not. Chinese history spans thousands of years. In that time, countless atrocities have been committed by the Chinese. So, you are only lying to yourself with that arrogance. To be clear, I’m not suggesting that Chinese history is all bad. I’m simply correcting your fraudulent and racist claim that (a) the Chinese are better than Caucasian’s, and (b) that China has not been every bit as evil as the people you are unjustly attempting to smear. The CCP has proven itself to be every bit as evil as the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany.

Now they need more space, clean air and land, why not go to desperate countries and wave a carrot in front of them? It’s a win win for China. Bottom line, the US concern over Latin America is about one thing and one thing only: money. Latin America, for centuries, has been under the US sphere of influence umbrella, and major US policy has frequently reflected the desire to protect its near-monopoly (see: Monroe Doctrine, Roosevelt Corollary, Taft's Dollar Diplomacy, etc.). The US sees any significantly increased foreign investment in Latin America as a threat to its own stranglehold on the economy there and almost always responds with some sort of policy to stop it.

Not only Latin America made a great decision by opening its borders to a vigorous trade relationship with China, but we look forward to China's rising as the most powerful economic country in the world to counterbalance US decades of abuse and unfair exchange with all Latin American countries. We welcome a Tripolar World. We are tired of US sanctions, US interference in our national issues and political arena, US manipulation of information, and US financial control of world commerce and trade through SWIFT and the imposition of the dollar as the only international valid currency. We are aware that 90 percent of news network is controlled by the US and its occasional partners. We learned not to listen and not to believe in any information the US disseminates. We realize that Trump and Biden, Democrats or Republicans are two faces of the same coin. The governance of one or the other one, Democrat or Republican will not translate in any improvement to Latin America's interests, development, economies or future. Latin America is NOT your backyard and we don't need your permission to make any sovereign decisions to improve our nations. We hope sincerely that Venezuela overcomes US sanctions with the help of Russia and China. China can also go far beyond than just economic reliance, it will have further influence in Latin American politics as well, such as the CCP bribing Latin American politicians to silence those who express concern or distrust about China, or even meddling in Latin American elections as well to elect presidents that won't strain Chinese diplomatic relations in the future, most Latin American countries will become econmic colonies if they rely too much on China.

This kind of foreign dominance was resentful among the Latin population and it’s just a question of time for the pressure to build up with nationalism & economic independence. China is seen as a modern day economic model, that poses a challenge to the western world. Many developing countries in both hemispheres , are looking to China for leadership & like what they see in that country & its achievements for the last 40 yrs. The truth of the matter is that politicians in the West and the US including Australia (Australia which is psychologically totally confused and suffering from an identity crisis as it thinks it is "west" when the reality is that it is geographically part of Asia!!!), are still stuck in their mental capacity and attitude in the glory days of "empire" 5-6 centuries ago. They may have learned to wear Gucci suits nowadays but nothing else seem to have evolved in their psyche and consciousness from their barbarian days. Instead of recognising their sordid past and history , they celebrate their delusions like "Thanksgiving Day" which the Native American Indians rightly and clearly remember and commemorate as their "Day of Mourning" being the beginning of the murdering, genociding, plundering, stealing, raping and ultimately, OCCUPATION , of their land uninvited, without any due compensation even till today. But these thieves and robbers take a lot of pride in the stories they tell themselves and sell to the world how great their "founding" was!!! Same stories with the "Empire" where the sun never sets. Australia with the Aborigines. New Zealand with their Maoris. The African continent with all those Europeans...........it goes on and on. This is the 21st Century , for chrissakes! Grow up and come out of that sick and primitive mentality of never ending desire to dominate, control and subjugate. The zillions of dollars spent on wars and "defence" and the other zillions being hoarded by the 1% is more than sufficient to provide every human being on the planet a very decent and never anything wanting life on this planet with the healthiest and cleanest environment. And we pride ourselves as being the only creature on earth with the intelligence, consciousness and capacity of free will and choice. We are the new global villain," said Day. www.yenisafak.com/en/video-gallery/news/us-is-new-global-villain-says-american-activist-2167332 Broken Treaties kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4DIeIeNjttrfsU World Debt Clocks www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html From 1964 to 1973, the U.S. dropped more than two million tons of ordnance on Laos during 580,000 bombing missions-equal to a planeload of bombs every 8 minutes, 24-hours a day, for 9 years - making Laos the most heavily bombed country per capita in history. The bombings were part of the U.S. Secret War in Laos to support the Royal Lao Government against the Pathet Lao and to interdict traffic along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The bombings destroyed many villages and displaced hundreds of thousands of Lao civilians during the nine-year period. Five years ago, the US forces, using the fake intelligence of a staged video by “White Helmets” as evidence, conducted the so-called “most precise air strikes in history” in Syria, killing more than 1,600 innocent civilians. In recent years, the international community has been calling for investigations into the killing of civilians in the US’ overseas military operations. On Syria alone, the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic pointed out several times in its reports in September 2019 and February 2021 that the US failed to distinguish military targets from civilians in its air strikes in Syria, which gravely violates international humanitarian law and may constitute war crimes. However, the US government has been turning a deaf ear to all this.  According to reports, over the past nearly two decades, the US conducted over 90,000 air strikes in countries including Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria, which may have killed up to 48,000 civilians. But the US military time and again covered up the facts and refused to apologize, admit its crimes or hold the perpetrators accountable. It did everything possible to evade its responsibilities. On the drone strike of civilians in Afghanistan, a Pentagon spokesperson said openly in December 2021 that no US soldiers will face disciplinary action over it. The US media also disclosed at the end of last year that from 2014 to 2019, the US military turned its guns on farmers in the middle of harvest, children playing in the streets, families fleeing the fighting and villagers taking shelter in buildings. These disastrous crimes were deliberately concealed and whitewashed. US media revealed last year that according to the US military’s own confidential assessments of more than 1,300 reports of civilian casualties, civilian casualties in US air strikes have been “significantly undercounted”. Larry Lewis, a Director at the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA) of the US said that on average at least one incident of civilian harm has happened every week since 9/11. There has been an overall pattern of negligence with regard to the US government on the issue of civilian harm. The US has also obstructed the International Criminal Court’s investigations into its war crimes in Afghanistan.  Every human life, regardless of nationality, race, religion or values, is equal and precious. The US should earnestly respond to the strong call of the international community, conduct a credible, independent and impartial investigation into civilian casualties caused by US air strikes, and hold the people concerned accountable. There is a reason that most countries polled in December 2013 by Gallup called the United States the greatest threat to peace in the world, and why Pew found that viewpoint increased in 2017. But it is a reason that eludes that strain of U.S. academia that first defines war as something that nations and groups other than the United States do, and then concludes that war has nearly vanished from the earth. Since World War II, during a supposed golden age of peace, the United States military has killed or helped kill some 20 million people, overthrown at least 36 governments, interfered in at least 85 foreign elections, attempted to assassinate over 50 foreign leaders, and dropped bombs on people in over 30 countries. The United States is responsible for the deaths of 5 million people in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, and over 1 million just since 2003 in Iraq. Since 2001, the United States has been systematically destroying a region of the globe, bombing Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, and Syria, not to mention the Philippines. The United States has “special forces” operating in two-thirds of the world’s countries and non-special forces in three-quarters of them. The U.S. government provides weapons, military training, and/or military funding to almost every dictatorship and oppressive government on earth. See my 2020 book 20 Dictators Currently Supported by the U.S. U.S. weapons are used on both sides of many wars.
