I thought "B" if not at the beginning of a word makes the same fricative sound as "V" Like in the words "Cuba" or "Libro" it makes the same sound as "V" in the word "el vino". Please let me know if it is not the case in Latin American Spanish.

Thanks so much for this! We moved to Las Vegas lately, and I already speak Italian (which also has super easy and consistent pronunciation rules, as you mention here), so it seemed silly to not dive in and learn Spanish as well. This was my very first step. :)

0:41 this descrepancy is probably because of different vowels in Old English- "dive" was "dȳfan" while "live" (with the same vowel as "give") was "lifian". The vowels then evolved separately but were written the same due to a) the Latin alphabet only having 5 vowels for English's dozen+ vowels and b) standard spellings being chosen irregularly from a variety of colloquial spellings in the 1400s

English words never end in i, u, v or j. Maybe there are some exceptions.

9:48 xoloitzcuintle or xolo for short. Mexican dog breed. The x is pronounced like "sh" so xolo is "sholo". I'm pretty sure there's tons of other words that start with X but I guess the words are native language in origin not spanish?

I thought it'd be an explanation in the difference between Castilian and Latino accents and prononciation... too bad

Hey dude: the double letters aren't considered letters, as "ch", "ll" and "rr". Also, "rr" doesn't have a capital form bcuz no word starts with "rr". "k" is a letter, but you did well at not include "w" (A letter will be in the alphabet if it have at least 1 non-foreign word. "k" has it, its name, "ka", but every word that starts with "w" is foreign.) The Complete Spanish Alphabet: Aa, Áá, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Éé, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Íí, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm, Nn, Ññ, Oo, Óó, Pp, Qq, Rr, Ss, Tt, Uu, Úú, ü, Vv, Xx, Yy, Zz. ("Ü" doesn't exist bcuz there's not any non-foreign starting with that letter. Also, vowels with acute accent are considered letters.)

Hey man thanks for trying to help me out, however I must point some things out: 1. I treated the double consonant sounds as their own letters because they make their own sounds unique from the single letters 2. As far as I’m concerned, I treated the K like the W like I should have. I’d like you to actually tell me 1 native Spanish word that starts with K. And also just because K has the name “Ka” doesn’t mean it should be included over there W. The W is referred to as “Doble Ve” so that logic doesn’t work. 3. I didn’t treat the accent marks as own letters because I thought it would be too confusing so I just went over accent mark rules in another section of the video. Thanks though, and I’m glad you tried to point things out

You forgot "CH"

One thing I learned at my trip to El Salvador, Some of the Locals(specifically the eastern ones) Pronounce Unstressed S like H sound in English or J sound in Spanish. For example: House-Casa (Ca-ha) In Stressed ones it's like an S Example: Century-Siglo(Si-glo) However, Don't correct those who make these pronunciations, they'll feel bad for it and they don't even know they're making those sounds. Also if you want to speak spanish in el salvador, don't use this accent. My Dad tells me that this is the accent the Farmers or Rural/Suburbans in the East of El Salvador use.
