This is the eleventh and final of my series of completely useless ukulele tips where we visit Hamburg for Hempel's Beatles-Tour (Ukulele). it was a great tour visiting the Beatles' former haunts before they became famous. I did the tour with German friends of mine. Wunderbar!
Stefanie Hempel's Beatles-Tour is the best ! Her site: www.hempels-mus...

@@PeteyHoudini I want to do this tour! I've loved the Beatles since I was very young. I'm new to the ukulele (though a long time guitarist) and love your channel. I hope you post more.

I really enjoy your postings, Peter. Suggestions for videos: Compare your Martin 2k to your Martin T1K if you have not already. I watched the video where you comment on your Style 2 vs the 2k, but did not see a direct comparison to the T1K. I have the Martin Style 2, T1K, Kamaka HF3, Kanilea K1, and Koaloha KTM-00. All tenors. I have a Koaloha koa soprano, but it's my only non-tenor uke. I love my Martin Style 2. It has the brightest sound of all and the slimmer nut can make it easier to play. I like my T1K and think it is very under-rated when considering price to value. It's no 2K, but it is a wonderful instrument at the $400-$500 price range. If I were to rate my tenors I would use the following categories, (1) volume (brightness); (2) intonation throughout the fretboard - upper and lower register; (3) sound (Hawaiian); (4) sound (Rock), (5) sound (Country); (6) sound (Classical), (7) sound (Blues), and (8) Sound (Traditional, Folk, Bluegrass); (9) beauty (finish, design, construction); (10) playability - ease of fretting, overall physical experience in playing the uke. I normally use these ten metrices, but find that I often need to use them all for each song I play (instrumental or strumming). I may rate the Martin Style 2 as having the best sound for Classical music, but fully recognize I won’t have a uniform rating for each classical song I play. I hope you post a new video soon. Even if only to say hello, I’m doing well.

I found out about her tour at least a 3-4 years back. She goes a great job and it's perfectly done switching between German and English.
