You’re the best MC right now; nobody is giving us this much information, substance, unique visuals, cadence nobody’s doin’ that." ~RZA to Ghostface when he was presented Supreme Clientele in the demo form. Ghostface had been developing his abstract word composition, Stream of Consciousness rhyme style and had been improving even on a technical level since his debut in 1993. You can see his evolution as an emcee throughout 1993 - 2000. Supreme Clientele was him reaching his absolute peak. He was definitely the best emcee of 2000.

Nas one of the best storytellers in rap period if not the best. I mean the illmatic album alone but through out his career. Songs like One Love, 2nd Childhood, Rewind are some good examples. But the most underrated storyteller to me is Masta Ace.
