The coin game is so strange. The world is dark and dimly lit, and the lack of humans in such a large world makes you feel so alone. But somehow it manages to feel so comfy and relaxing? Also this video was great, I'd be cool with more videos like this, but anything in the arcade series is entertaining

It's like a reverse uncanny valley. Creepy, but not enough to be actively threatening, and too blatantly "off" to be that unsettling can't put your finger on it vibe. Things are weird, but you *can* nail down exactly why, and nothing really seems to pose a threat so you end up with this cozy surreal in between.

@@Vonias Stranger in a land that stands both in diametric opposition to your needs as a human, but is somehow entirely accommodating at the same time. It's a similar feeling to using the bathroom at a doctor's office...it stands both extant to you with the foreboding nature of medical fears while also being a comfort. The whole game also has sort of a survival-horror vibe with the setting that also provides a sense of unsettling nostalgia. I always feel like a child playing the game even though I'm 34...everything feels bigger than I am again...adventure awaits in a sea of liminal and unsettling spaces. The Coin Game is one of the very few truly unique experiences one can have in modern gaming.

@@doubtful_seer yeah that a bigger issue for sure. The class divide is growing, and with that, businesses that were in small towns either have to close, or move to an urbanized area. And when enough businesses move, the people will move with it. The idea of an "American" small town is getting its life slowly squeezed from it, it's just not sustainable. Japan, the netherlands, and Germany have been able to do it.

It's honestly a really comforting vibe you fostered here like you do with a lot of your videos and I really enjoyed the interesting new virtual approach! I think that games have a lot of room to have sorts of cozy explorations like this in certain spaces, like I even saw a video by this guy Brendaniel where he explored really well constructed and detailed roblox worlds, and it leaves a lot of room for interesting places to explore in videos without having to find real interesting intricate places in the world that you'd probably quickly run out of, I think doing more videos like your market tour with the cosmic crisp apples in virtual spaces could be really great! keep it up!

You are the only person who I don't skip paid promotions for, because you put actual effort into making them entertaining

I would love to see you do a little tour of Tower Unite, or maybe just the arcade in the game if you'd prefer

I really liked this virtual space tour, and would like to see others. I also liked how this game is just one dude’s labour of love to arcades, I had such a burst of joy when I saw that arcade carpet.

Such a fun and chill video. Also, you're probably one of two creators who's sponsored sections I don't skip because they're so good (and I honestly kind of want to try Hello Fresh now because of them). Also, was that ending (20:20) a Televoid reference?
