I’m starting carnivore today. To prepare I cooked meat, eggs and used the drippings in the sealed bags of meat I cooked. I made pork crispy snacks and put butter in the bag to melt when I heat them up . I’m worried about this diet but I think I can stay on it because I never eat sugar, never eat any sweets, never eat veggies nor fruit . I crave beef. I love seared beef. I actually crave it. Then sometime I crave pork chops. I never crave sweets but I have wanted potatoes, Breads, these are keeping me from losing my last 20 lbs to goal. Ty for your help

I use olive oil and avocado oil as I have an allergy to pork. This obviously includes bacon, hense no baconaise for me. However, I do make my own mayo with avocado oil and my own salad dressing (when I eat salad), with olive oil. I also generally use ghee that I make myself, either in the oven or via stove top. I make my own bone broth and can it at least once a month or so, which adds so much to my diet, and is especially helpful when I am breaking a fast.

Hi :) I just started watching your videos on Gaps. I have serious candida, histamine and digestion issues after being vegan for years. If you were doing gaps again now would you do it carnivore based or do you still agree with the garlic, veggies etc involved? Thank you
@Boddah.4 жыл бұрын
Nightshades are okay if you ferment and/or pickle and then roast and/or boil them. Fermenting helps reduce the sugar and the anti-nutrients which are inflammatory, pickling also helps with breaking drown some of the anti-nutrients, roasting and/or boiling reduces a lot of the anti-nutrients. If you ferment and pickle your nightshades, then roasted and boiled them and then dehydrate them into a powder or crush them and soak in a high proof alcohol to remove any of the remaining oils and sugars; then you dry them out and powderize to make healthier sauces and pastes like tomato sauce, paste or marinara. Make sure you remove the seeds.

Realistically people are not going to do all that and it's easier to just use any of the 'acceptable' ones :)

How about hemmalian salt , garlic salt , and season salt?
@craigmoore91944 жыл бұрын
Salt is necessary and himalayan salt is a better version than table salt. Garlic is a vegetable so garlic salt is not carnivore. Seasoning salt would also most likely contain vegetables and not be carnivore. That being said carnivore is an elimination diet, after eating just meat products for a few months I think it's completely healthy to introduce one non-meat substance at a time. If you're doing carnivore because it's reducing/eliminating physical pain, digestive issues, mental cloudiness etc then you'll know what doesn't work when you add something new in. Give it a few weeks at least as antinutrients/toxins take time to build up and affect the body and if you still feel good add another and do the same! BTW seasoning salt is not 1 single noncarnivore food. It contains many.

Hi friend! I've been enjoying watching your videos. I've been doing Keto since last October, and carnivore for the last two weeks. Due to a few different reasons, I need to transition back to eating more "normally" and keto-paleo (I plan to eat mostly keto-ish without the stress of if I'm actually in ketosis...OMG too many onions!) My question is, how will I know if I'm having a "reaction" from foods that I'm adding back in? I hear a lot about how certain foods can be inflammatory for some people (like egg whites) (and of course I know garbage foods are always inflammatory) but how do I know if something is inflammatory for me? How can I tell? What kind of reactions can I expect from foods that bother me? I've never had any known allergies to anything, not even pollen, and the only thing I've ever noticed is that sugar makes (especially acidic sugar like in fruit juice) me sick to my belly and beans always give me gas-which I don't like anyway. I did notice I burp peanut butter all day after consuming and gained weight when I ate a little while trying carnivore, so I'm nixing that. What have you noticed you're sensitive to? Thanks for any input!

The easy, but probably a headache way to do it is probably adding foods in one by one. Eat one thing see how you feel, then stop or continue eating that item.
