People give Condor too much shit. Especially for the price, they produce some pretty good products. I've owned four Condor plate carriers (three MOPC's, one quick release) and they've all held together well. If you're on a budget or looking to not spend too much cash, Condor is the brand for you. I promise it won't disappoint.

Agree here. Using Warrior Assault Systems together with Condor and not really see much difference in the price and quality area. Can't say not much negative about Condor, especially for the quality for such low price... great.

I've used this vest for a couple years and it works great. It's been through just about anything you could imagine. I was hesitant at first due to the price tag, but after a lot of wear and tear, it has held up great. Its only downfall are the plastic buckles that connect the shoulder straps. After two years of lugging around level 4 plates, side plates, water, comms, and ammo they finally gave way. It's a problem quickly remedied by a couple D rings. Overall, I'd recommend this vest to anyone.

So I go and I buy this Condor stuff, start looking on the internet.... find a bunch of Airsoft people, get all discouraged. Then I remember, check with my man. Nuttin pulls through again. Now I won't trash all this condor stuff I got. Thanks mr Fancy.

Just purchased one of these plate carriers for $64.99 from a West Coast vendor and honestly, for the money, you just can't beat the value. If I was in a combat theater, then I might opt for a London Bridge or Mayflower PC, but as a civilian, this should hold up fine for my use. As Nutn stated, consider your POU. Great review my friend, thank you.

@flex221 Hey bud, thanks for watching. S&W knives are very high value, generally use 440C, and give good service. I only find a few of their designs attractive however; most have wierd grinds and are too heavy. Your mileage may vary.

@excxflyr Good question and I think the material in the non-MC versions would be lower quality vinyl-covered nylon. However I have not confirmed this. It will still will be a good PC but the weight will be higher. For reference, the TacForce Crossdraw vest I like is also vinyl-covered Cordura too. Ask PFIDude to check because he has those other colors in the shop I think.

I'm running a Condor MOPC in Multicam, with a Condor MA55 triple-k mag pouch on either side, a rangefinder/battery pouch on the upper chest, two MA51 double-k pouches on the stomach, as well as a drop-leg on either side, on right an MA1 platform with my holster and 3 pistol mags hooked to it, and on my left a 6 AR mag holder, both in coyote tan. Not done fine-tuning the rig but for as much as it carries it feels light and secure. Agreed, excellent product, Nutnfancy!

kind of random but what really jumped out at me in this video is in the beginning when you roll into the grass you really can get a sense of how well multicam works in this type of environment.

@StrivingForSurvival Yes, quality difference in the MC as noted are better fabric. The rest should be the same. The increased price of the MC version is due to the higher quality fabric and the licensing fee that has to be paid to Crye.

The only thing Ive ever used the map pocket for is to hold a water bottle when entering/exiting helos. At the pads, there is usually water, which is not to be wasted. Obviously while the rotors are turning, you need everything on your person to be secured. So, I (and many others) often pop that bad boy open and slide the water bottle in there. It holds it quite tightly (can adjust with squeezing the bottle and tightening the cap back on if need be) and is very convenient. Pro tip: While waiting on your exfil, put the bottle in your map pocket and your sunglasses in the upper right MOLLE looping of your vest. You can rest your phone on the cap of the bottle with the screen facing upwards. The edge of your phone can slide into the nose arch of your glasses and it works really well to watch videos if you end up on WX hold. Which often happens. Fixed wings dont have nearly as much of an issue flying through WX as rotary aircraft do.
@CircleWilliams11 жыл бұрын
From what I saw, the best Condor gear is in Multicam (it's also the reason in the price jump between this and the "other" coloros for the MOPC) due to the Crye mandate keeping their standard and their reputation. Any body else notice this?

@SaVaGeEwOk87 Good question. Run armor plates or not: I say light is better and that's why I go with soft armor. Everyone I've seen run heavy armor in our RNGuns tuckers out VERY quickly and they fail. I would not run side armor plates usually. But when the rounds are for sure flying your way, the weight will have to be carried. Witness Afghanistan house to house. I'm taking armor there, side, front, groin.

@ALJR223 i have also thought abt that problem. but if u have any small pouches that u dun really need access to in a instant.. u can simply put them on the molle where u want it to stop.. i found that it not only keeps it centered but it also helps u align the velcro to the pad in the front..

And the only part that is wearing is the top 1000 cor dura lining at the very top were my sling attaches and its a little bit of wear. The multicam coloring holds up great Ive hand washed my vest over 20-30 times to clean it off and multicam has no fades or or anything along those lines. A very solid vest.

I think it's called a G-Code attachment. You can place these attachments on different parts of your molle and if you want to move your holster there, you can quick detach it and insert it to the G-Code. If my explanation was a bit vague, try looking up G-code holsters.

This plate carrier looks to be a good LBE system. I wonder if any of your TNP personnel have tried using Olongapo mag pouches on their rigs? I shoot an M1 Garand and Olongapo makes their pouches with the Tactical Tailor Malice Clips rather than making them with the MOLLE/ PALs strapping. I just want to know how well the Malice Clips hold.

I love the "Gunships" at the end. Looks like nutn might have found this high desert spot while on the job. Put this rig on my Santa list a month ago, watch the prices because the price spread is huge, just like a Esee Rat 6 that I put on that list with price swings between 89.00 and 208.00. shop around. I went with OD green to save a couple bucks, should still look good with multi cam clothes.
@moicus2914 жыл бұрын
@Aimstraight762 the idea of a plate carrier is that is just a nylon bag for the real protective armor of your choice, although as the title suggests most would opt for hard rifle plate--probably stand alone variety. if it had any kind of actual ballistic protection on its own it would cost several hundred dollars more, and it would have ballistic specs listed with it: roman numerals and/or letters. if you want somthing to stop pistol rounds you need a bullet resistant vest, rifle rounds-plate

@Angyal269 @TheDishD Signal is my own and it means ROCK ON! And some armor is better than none is the philosophy. Running around with 16 pounds of armor plate will bring understanding. Add in another 8 lbs ammo, 2 lbs knife/tool, 3 lbs water, 2 lbs 1st aid kit, etc and you'll have your 50 pound DL 3 loadout. It's a lot. DishD is right: in many situations I foresee, pistol rounds will predominate.

@karlis1989 The info in my 2008 video on armor plates I think is still righteous and I've seen no meaningful change in the market.
