How come everyone just want known actors for this role? Like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston etc.. When Daniel eventually pass this role over to somebody else, am I the only one who wants someone completely new to come in and blow us away? Someone that hasn't got global fame already, someone to become Bond and only Bond. Much like Craig did when he showed up in Casino back in 06. I want to see James Bond on the big screen - not a Hollywood actor. :)
@Chikadulce107 жыл бұрын
J. Music Pierce Brosnan wasn't known for much when he starred in Goldeneye either, and he blew everyone away. It's considered one of the best Bond films now. As much as I have some dream castings in mind, it would be nice to be surprised again 😊
@Blackflame247 жыл бұрын
I personally would like to see Henry Cavill take it next. He read for the part with Daniel for Casino Royale, but was too young at the time, so he is familiar with it. He wants to do it, said he WOULD do it if the offer was made to him, and at 32, he can carry the role for the next generation, which is what Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson stated they want in the Bond actors. Henry could carry it for 10 plus years and do around 7 films and be only around 45 when he wraps up. Sounds like a no brainer
@madmatmp7 жыл бұрын
Good list, but lots of talks with Eric Bana. 😁
@martianmanhunter377 жыл бұрын
Except that Cavill is known worldwide as Superman, which automatically disqualify him as a Bond. None of the Bond actors were movie stars when they got the role. At best, they were big name on tv (like Moore and Brosnan).

"Spectre" was VERY disappointing, but Craig was most definitely not the problem.

Marc Norton I really enjoyed SPECTRE but the writing could have been a bit better

I agree. The issue was that they try to put his Bond in a world that would be more fitted for a Bond played by either Moore or Brosnan.

How come its the 2nd highest grossing bond then - duhhh.

Because it was the followup to Skyfall which is undoubtedly one of the best bond films of all time and therefore people had very high expectations. Just because a film makes a lot of money doesn't mean its good... Transformers anyone? Maybe a bit of Fast & Furious?
