One of my favorite experiences and most moving, was our time spent drumming at Congo Square in New Orleans on our way from Florida back to Arizona.
Not only was it humbling and beautiful to get to drum in such a historical space, but the drum community there welcomed us with open arms and invited us to play with them and make music together.
If you find yourself in New Orleans - make sure you head to Congo Square on Sunday to listen or play. You will thank yourself later.
