I find it hilarious that people are complaining about getting speeding tickets in CT. In my 25 years of cross-country driving accumulating 2 million miles of driving not even as a trucker, CT and parts of New England is by far the most lenient for traffic enforcement. Y’all are going 80-90 in a posted 55/65 down route 8 north and south as a tiny example.

He was hit by a drunk driver who fled the scene, who was caught shortly thereafter. Interstate 84 is the major highway here in Connecticut and the entrances and exits are quite close together in that area especially. Thanks to our Connecticut State Troopers, all exits and entrances were closed very quickly, probably preventing additional people from being hurt and killed by the drunk. Lanes in the opposite direction also needed to be shut down by police for both safety and the accident investigation.
@kennethmatthew34536 ай бұрын
Some state police ask for this type of stuff to happen to them by punishing those who wish to find a safe place to pull over. I've seen too many punished and weapons drawn on them just because they wanted to find a safer place to pull over further down the road. If drivers were allowed a reasonable time to find a safer place to pull over without consequence then tragedies like this would happen allot less. Even if it took 2-4 miles to find a safer place when being pulled over it should be okay long as the time it takes is reasonable but I've seen too many videos where an officer says "No you have to pull over immediately no matter what" then we continue to see stories like this.

It’s easy to notice officers stopping that truck. All un marked state police cars with h heavy tinted windows with all those lights flashing, not one state police car has its roof mounted light bar on . Officers should be wearing safety colored vests for high visibility.
