Connie was assaulted in a Howard Johnson's Motel in late 1974 while performing at nearby Westbury Music Fair. It took her a long time to get through that time but she did come back to Westbury Music Fair just about 7 years to the date. Her voice was a little shaky here and there but it improved as she continued to perform. In 1989 she was appearing at Las Vegas and her voice was spectacular (at the Alladin Hotel).

I kept thinking the same thing, this HAS to be an old video. The date of 2017 is what people probably assume to be the time of this video but it looked very 1980's to me so I looked up when her book--"Who's Sorry Now" came out and it was 1984, so this was circa 1984 or 1985 I assume. No wonder she looks so fantastic!

@@paul28fo Connie is sadly a shadow of her younger self. The years of mental turmoil and addiction to painkillers has taken its toll on a once beautiful woman. I can oinly hope she has peace of mind these days, she deserves it after what she's lived through.
