Since Crosby's contract is only two years what this smells like to me is "I don't care about NHL success but I want one more time to play for Canada". Crosby's deal expires in 2026 which just so happens to be an Olympic year and he will be 39 by the time that deal finishes so I can see he signed for 2 years just so he can play at the Olympics one more time.

You all need to watch a Caps game. PLD has been significantly more helpful than his points suggest. That 2nd line of PLD, McMichael, and Wilson is meshing so well. They are rotating Lindgren and Thompson in goal every game and it's not causing any issues. Outside of Lapierre, the team is playing well which is pretty much the opposite of last season.

He was extremely limited in what he could do, reality is the team if viewed objectively needs to be broken down but, he can't because of what the players mean to pittsburgh. I'd bet he likely knows this and his plan was ride with them for a couple years then he can truly 'start' and build his team. Time will tell

Recent injuries hurt against the hurricanes, but the team defense and the center depth has been dominating. PLD has turned into a pure shut down center that has allowed ovechkin, McMichael and Wilson to score. Wagon. They have surprised us fans

Yeah something I find MADDENING about poppies is HOW FREAKING FLIMSY THEY ARE. It's one of the reasons why I dont like wearing a poppy is because they're CONSTANTLY FALLING OFF. I don't know if veterans see it as disrespectful if it falls off but I do know they do find it disrespectful to WEAR UR POPPY AFTER NOV 11. Apparently this is because of the ending of WW1 being on Nov 11 they say u shouldnt wear it all November because its disrespectful to the spirit of the holiday. Dubas' job was not to rebuild. It was explicitly said at the time that they wanted Dubas to come in and try to make them a contender again, and that they would not be rebuilding with Crosby on the roster. Dubas started handcuffed. Adam always glosses over that or just doesn't know that, but it's a critical piece of info and explains why things are going the way they're going there. Unless he gets the green light from the players and management that they can start selling he won't sell. Simple as that

The problem with the trade is you gave up a 1 round pick for a 3 rd 6th and a journeyman D who sounds like he’s not gonna play,,, I would of rather trade him for a prospect that you like that’s not working out with another team , than lose big value that way!
