Knowing the role of your class is really important. Eg. Shortbow is a hero killer. I was wondering if you invested your skillpoints correctly as you seemed to deal low damage on the dual blade. Picking the right skills on your weapon is super important. Knowing the role of your units might help. And ... playing with your team seems important. Especially communicating what points to attack and how.

I've been playing this game since Nov 2020,; its been an absolute blast! The PVP is intense and the unit selection **chefs kiss** Myself i play on the Steam Version of the game. Oh! to hide the Hud, you press END. Now.... as for Units... *deep breath* There are Seasonal Units you can unlock to enhance your army roster. You can swap between challenges to progress in current or past seasons to unlock wicked troops. Great Non Seasonal units for New Players in my opinion: Green Tier- Pike Militia, Ironcap Swordsmen/Arquebusiers, Coutalier Cavalry! despite being lower on the totem pole, they dish out some decent and relevant damage. the Pike militia can also cause a Stun on brace (so good!) Ironcap Swordsmen get a great charge with a low cool down. Blue Tier- Prefecture Guards/Pikemen, Ironcap Spears, Prefecture Archers, Rattan Vipers The 3rd level of units available, you start to notice some more survivability, damage and varience. Prefecture Guards with their Cover Commander and Prefecture drill will turn into angry blenders. Prefecture Pikes will absolutely destroy anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in their charge. Prefecture Archers come with an ability called Arrow Rain for increased fire rates and at times flaming arrows. Purple Tier- Hoooo boy, here we go. Palace Guards! Imperial Spears/Pikes/Archers/Arquebusiers,/Javelins, Kriegsrat Fusiliers! Javelin Sergeants/ Spear Sergeants. Now THATS ALOT OF DAMAGE! Tankier, harder hitting; what can i say about them? other than THESE ARE FANTASTIC. From Powerful charges, insane shield walls, Pike marches that knock opponents on their butts and stop Cav charges hrrrrngh. so good. GOLD TIER- IRON REAPERS, CATAPHRACT LANCERS, HUSSARS, MONASTIC KNIGHTS, PAVISE CROSSBOWMEN, TERCIOS, SHENJI GRENADIERS. These monsters are End game beasts. Iron reapers can swap between a sword and a massive flail, brutally hacking down anyone in their way. Hussars get an ability as you level them up that prevents many forms of charging interrupts. (imperial Pikes STILL STOP THEM!) they will blast through enemy lines like nothing. Want to knock down that shield wall infront of you? AND you want to do it with grenades? Say hello to Shenji Grenadiers who lob grenades into the fray then open up with their muskets. There are So many more units to unlock in the Unit Tree. I didnt even touch on the Seasonal Units that you get too.
@jawbelly91742 жыл бұрын
Another green tier unit that is a solid pick is the Javelin militia. They can dish out a surprising amount of damage. You can toss 2 javelins and when you upgrade them, their melee damage is actually surprising.

I played this game an absolute ton last year, it was quite fun but you do need to grind a LOT to get everything on each season pass. That said, the game play was quite fun so I didn't mind so much, I've stopped now as I've maxed out pretty much every weapon and got pretty much all the troops I was aiming for. Edit: You wanted tips: Units and weapons get rebalanced every season, so there is no end all be all regarding that. I've been away from the game for about 6 months so my info may be out-dated. The short bow is really more of a hero killer/harasser class, it's not that great against troops (aside from archers who are easy to kill). You can waste a lot of time just trying to kill a single heavily armored enemy soldier, where as melee weapons have large sweeping attacks that can do damage to a bunch of troops at once. You should be focusing on heroes so they need to retreat to heal, or supporting other friendly heroes by using cc on the enemy heroes they are fighting. Long bow was considered very niche when I was playing, it was used mostly for killing enemy ranged units, because it fires so slowly, don't know if that's changed. I think you might have been trolled a bit about being advised to go dual blades as a new player. They can be super effective, but it's a glass cannon playstyle, you can die extremely quickly if focused on, it's an assassination class. Stealth, go find an isolated hero and taken them down quickly (groups of isolated ranged units too) and then run away. If you get caught while your escape skills are on cooldown you are probably dead (at least as a new player). Good units to have are the green spear militia, they are excellent value for their cost once you max out their upgrade line. Paladins and Stalwarts were considered staple units that pretty much everyone had, very tough while also doing great damage. Namcan archers were extremely powerful for their tier due to stacking bleeds. Granted, these might have been changed since I last played. My personal favorite unit was falconette (the guys with long range artillery). They could be absolutely devastating on certain maps where there are heavily contested choke points. They can create a constant barrage of heavily damaging knock down attacks which can turn the tide of battle single handedly. They do require a lot of knowledge of the maps and proper positioning though as they are completely helpless if attacked.

I've been playing this for eons and I love the high skill cap in this game! The best part of this game is competing with your house/alliance (we usually discord), and fighting against other houses/alliances for castles/forts/villages on the world map every tues and saturday.

I was also a pretty good player in this game, dual blades, "Hard ones" though they are some of the easiest, i'd say, only at higher levels are hard, but until ur level 500+ you'll be ok :)) Edit: When you use those "meteors" you also kill allied units. you can also change your horse, in case it dies, and as well as your weapon mid-game in the supply points, and if you would be able to command troops remotely, to come to you and respawn/change them, that would literally break the game. You didn't get to play Territory Wars, basically saturday and... wednesday i think it was, at 9PM CST or CET Timezone, something like that, there are territorial wars for, obviously, territories, which are forts, castles and villages, basically. it takes 1 Hour, after you get your territory you can(have to) defend it, not to be taken away, also the artillery you use in games it's consumable, you can buy/craft it, there's also Open world feature, you didn't even present it, you gotta go to Watchman to go there, you can fight stray bandits, bandit outposts, random players outside the safezone, loot farms and a few more things. If you see this comment, please check the open world thing as well as territory wars, the TW(territorial wars) are the most fun thing in that game, there you actually lose units when they die, and it's more realistic strategy-wise. The "clans" and "family" work as such: A family is basically a guild, in other games, with a member cap of 100, the "family" level rises as the members do quests, which you can find once you're in a family if you press "N", and from there you can see it.And the "clans" are named actually "alliance"s, which are basically a house for the "families" which i mentioned earlier. The maximum number of families(which are named Houses in the game) which can join an "alliance" is 3, basically 300 players, but that doesn't mean that more alliances can form "pacts" of non-aggression, player transfers and joint operations. there's more events like the death match, which are Free siege battles, which basically means that whatever units you use, you won't lose their "Kits". Kits are basically the "durability" of a unit, or squad of army, the one that you move around and order, and can actually just be bought if you just click a "+" under it once you go to U -> click on the unit and look under it to see the "+" The best units for the beginning i'd say are pikes, shield and shortsword units are AMAZING for assault, basically you go to the side of the wall(in a siege), put up a ladder(but be as stealthy as possible, not to be found, else you f. up) and then use their charge ability to get the enemy troops from behind. Rattan roundshields are a good choice for this, i also used to use them a lot(while playing), pike militia is also good, longbows, and once you get a bit further i'd say imperial archers are amazingly good, HUGE range, if you press 1 you can concentrate fire on a single area(a circle), press 2 if you want to make the arrows to be fired slower, but do "burn damage" or DOT(damage over time) and you got 3, which basically scatters your troops(basically ur NPCs from the unit) so as to not be as easy prey to the enemy arrows/bullets. Other units i'd like to mention mid-game would be Spear seargeants, still my favourite unit up to this time, which further develops in "stalwarts", basically the same thing but stroger(lol) Imperial arquebusiers, mid-range, pretty high damage, good unit, then imperial shields are also good. Tip: Don't use Horses as much as possible. Reason: They are expensive AF, imagine that when you lose 1 kit for a horse you basically buy the kit for the person riding the horse and the "horse" separately, and the horse, oh God, The most expensive thing you'll see at the time. the horse units Drain your money just like CS GO bets on a boring day when u got nothing to lose. Tip 2:if you go open world and fight a player you have pretty decent chances of obtaining the kits which he loses from the troops he's fighting you with, along his resources he's collected in his "wagoon"(which basically gives you at least 4-5k, depending how much he's got in the wagoon, for every time you fight him, since he loses a certain percent which i do not know), thus making you save A LOT of time. Tip 3:You should join a house/clan which is playing style is like yours, if you play for fun, there's a WHOLE LOT of those, if you want to play seriously, join one which, obviously, will play seriously, if you want to only play sieges or whatever matchmaking, there's also houses that are made for that :))) Tip 4:Be carefull when you leave a house, since as you know, houses communicate between themselves and depending what you do when you leave, you could be as "unlucky" to be on some of those "blacklists" Tip 5:When positioning your units be carefull of the surroundings, in case of archers/ranged, DO.NOT.EVER.Leave them unsupervised, since you'll lose them in a matter of moments. Tip 6:Don't leave your units in the same position for a long time, or in open areas, especially when you defend, since every player from the opposite team has those "meteorites", which he can use a single time, and you may be the unlucky person to have an entire "squad" of them smash your troops, or your units may get ambushed from behind by a player that sneaked behind your team.

idk if it's still the same but the deal breaker which slowly drove me away was the fixed timing of legion/guild/territory battles, if it's an unsuitable one for your schedule then you simply never participate and are left to grinding boring parts of the game for hours just to stay in the legion. Playing in other time zones doesn't necessarily helps, did that for some games who had similar schedules and gone were my sleeping hours if someone wanted to propose that.
@noahrohrbach3512 жыл бұрын
The most important thing to know in this game that you can only really learn over time by playing is to know every units weakness and strengths and what will win or lose against your unit, as a new player it sucks because there is no indication when in battle if a unit is a higher or lower tier unit than yours. your ranged units have a limited amount of ammo that can be seen in the bottom right so there where times where your units were not actually firing, melee weapons and troops for that matter can generally make more of an impact in the game, short bow is mainly for killing other heroes and generally is very bad at killing units and each class is wildly different in its roles with some getting very few kills but still being effective, good starting units are the prefecture guard, namkhan archers (seasonal unit but easy to get), squires sorta, pikeman militia (the green one)

Played the game, back when it was first released (not at release, but like a few months after) and I don't know how the game is doing rn, but a few things: -Grinding is part of this game. You need ressources in order to upgrade your units. -Better and more experienced units will kick your ass. I often came across players that would slaughter my units with the same units, simply because they had more experience/upgrades. To a certain degree you can circumnavigate this by positioning and smart usage, but there is a limit to how much you can compensate the lack of quality. -skilled players can and will woop your ass. It is not the most beginner friendly game. -Optimization was bad, at least for me. I couldn't play short bow, because of that. Since I haven't touch the game for a few years, I don't know how the state is nowadays, so take what I wrote with a grain of salt.

If you wanna play competitively you do need a lot of grinding yeah. As far as the units go, you can outplay an opponent with better units/gear if you outsmart him, the upgrades you can get are impactfull but not game changing to where its unplayable vs a player with better stuff than you
@urs02 жыл бұрын
Played this game while ago, new player account were good until level 100 if i am not mistaken, bc there is people level 3k+ that u start playing against and there was no way you got the OP units by then, you had to spend money. Cavaly units were OP as a nuke. The wars were a blast tho, between clans, the leaders and officers put a lot of work into it to help people get up to speed and learn the game. Old season units were still obtainable, you can select wicth season you want to work towards, even for a "small" game there is a ton of player made content and guides to help you. I dont play anymore bc it needed money or a massive amount of time to grind to unlock units, more grind to lvl them up and more grind to get upgrades for them (skills, or w/e its called), if that doesnt bother its a fun game. Also, it does need a good hardware to play the bigger battles.

The seasonal reset/ missions in order to get units is how this can be p2w at the end game competitive clan vs clan level. The new seasonal units are strong before nerfs hit, and cost less supply so you can have more better new units than you would with older season units. The main thing is jumping through hoops completing a single task to be able to unlock them, huge setback compared to the first and standard way of just grinding exp in a tech tree.

"Conqueror's Blade is the first game developed by Booming Games, a Chinese development studio based in Hangzhou, China. Several employees, including CEO Xi Wang, previously worked on the Halo and Destiny series at Bungie.[10] Conqueror's Blade is also the first game to use the CHAOS engine, which was developed in-house at Booming Games." very cool, an in house Chinese game engine.

Even though he might not be required to say anything in specific, he still would never bash or be too honest about a bad game that sponsored him. If he did other companies aren't going to want to sponsor him after seeing that. It's a fine video, but I would take his review with a grain of salt. He _could_ be being honest, but the fact you never can really know is the problem. It's always going to be biased unfortunately. As long as you don't take the review part to seriously it's fine.

as a veteran with +1700hs into the game, i encourage you to get into a house preffer with and aliance, as competitive as posible and try the territorial wars, thats the main course of the game, stakes are high, strategy is of the essence fighting for resources influence and land, in order to be able to play into the real late game wich are the citys Conquerors City or Constantinopolis, there youll find a big degree of diplomacy wich is a must. as for units still 4+ and 5 star units are locked to give new players a chance to catch up in tearms of units, and just a though your playstyle goes beyond your weapon of choice eventually your develop your playstyle in sincro with the units you take to battle considering whether its a field battle or a siege attacking or defending, the game is pretty deep!!!

Highly underrated game. The only issue is there's always Meta units every season that will stomp everything on its path, but that's goes for every other game. At least they will try to fix it either nerf it next season, or buff the counter unit again it. I've been playing since Season 2 on NA server. I wish they would offer server transfer since I'll be moving to Asia soon.

idk if it's still the same but the deal breaker which slowly drove me away was the fixed timing of legion/guild/territory battles, if it's an unsuitable one for your schedule then you simply never participate and are left to grinding hours just to stay in the legion. Playing in other time zones doesn't necessarily helps, if someone wanted to propose that.

If you got the funds you can buy all seasonal units which are mostly the best.meaning even a lvl10 character could possibly own 3 or 4 gold units..with all these units people can upgrade and learn them easily before hitting lvl100 where the challenge arises..tis nice to have an advantage.

A bit of feedback as someone who played this a while ago. There is a changing weapon meta, however you will be able to kill anyone using anyweapon as this game relies more on skill than picking the OP weapon, that being said I think the right weapon depends on your playstyle/role you want to fulfill, for example I enyojed the agresive hammer, or disrupting enemy positions with the shield body-slam, but my friend enjoyed the dual blades more because he liked that sniping enemies that were out of position role. There are also weapons who change how they play when you unlock their latter skills, so keep that in mind. Contrary to the weapons this game has a meta heavily focusing on units, specially on guild vs guild stuff. there are units that are a must have and other that are near useless. This game strong side is the guild vs guild stuff, with guilds and alliances figthing over the control of cities and villages around the map. Being on a guild taking part in this, cooperating with and figthing other guilds over territory is the endgame here. This game has also a decent grinding requeriment for endgame, that added to the social aspect of all guild-vs-guild MMOs make this game to end up taking a lot of time if you want to get involved in the true endgame, so beware.

It's a realy great game, but in the first 30 secs there are already two mistakes: the game launced in 2019 not 2020 and Helheim is by far not the biggest update, yes it is bigger than the weekly balance changes, but for a new season it is small,
@ennou12362 жыл бұрын
13:55 they could do that but it would probably almost never be used, except maybe by newbies until the time the entire unit gets wiped out by the enemy, then they would almost always go to the supply point themselves Edit. Fyi except rare cases, never, NEVER leave your troops unattended

I've played it for several months and enjoy it. One thing to keep in mind for new players that no one told me when I started is that from level 1-100 you're basically in the newbie queue for pvp. Once you get to level 101 and beyond you'll be in the normal PvP queue which means going up against players that have much bigger rosters and 5 star units. Those 5 star units will completely wreck your low star units. Teamwork and strategy are key to winning. Evo loz gaming covers the game on detail of anyone's interested.

Recently the devs have begun focusing on balance and now the game is in a better state than ever. Too bad that the best looking units, stalwarts and paladins,have not gotten a rework like many other units have. Edit: the balancíng continues and now Stalwarts and paladins are good again!

as some1 that has 2k+ hours in the game and has won several servers (capturing and holding the capital untill the season ends) I can def answer most questions, feel free to ask. As for your mistakes? Probably everything you did which is fine lol you just jumped into the game. I can honestly say that the game has its faults, but for me every hour i put into (still am) has been worth it (still is). If you want to start playing this game there is def a way to do it but depending on what you focus on your new player experience can vary a lot. there is def a way you should play. the first 100 levels are key and one of the best tips i can give you is stay away from range units as much as u can. if you ever want to compete you will have to learn melee units (positioning, weaknesses, etc.) in the endgame only 3ish range units are worth taking and most of em are very situational and require a lot of game knowledge.

You pay to reduce the grind. It's a brutal curb stomping until you level up your troops, etc. You will spend money. If you are okay with pay to reduce the grind, then it's a good game.

Well it is not to bad. You can get a pretty usable end game warband in less than a week. (Palace guards, iron reapers, prefecture guards) i did a secondary account just to try the new player experience. It is relatively easy and when you got that end game warband you are set to unlocl other units. Personally have never spend anything in my 3300 gameplay hours.

The only thing I hate about this game is you don’t get to swap your server the game randomly put me in the EU server I didn’t get to choose when I first played it just put me in it as soon as I opened it and I never realized till 50hrs in they really need to give people a ticket option to buy to transfer servers and bring everything with you cause the ping in the EU server is so bad for me but I have so much stuff including a skin I got from one of the seasons that I don’t want to part away with my character due to the cosmetic + progress.

Conqueror's Blade sponsored a video where they allow you to give your own first impressions, because until level (60 is it?) you only play in bot games, it isnt until after the first "phase" of the game where you're introduced to the pay2win players. The "endgame siege" part of the video (compilations of a few of his deaths) is where he's actually against other real players.
@TheRogueJedii2 жыл бұрын
There is no pay 2 win. I have high end friends that have all units and are absolutely powerful in the game, and have never spent a dime. It's more a pay to progress faster.
@Extracted742 жыл бұрын
@@TheRogueJedii I have over a hundred hours in the game, and originally played on another account years ago. A free2play player cannot keep up with copper costs of repairs of the better units, as well as the RNG is significantly easier through use of real money. Its insanely pay2win.

honestly the main problem the game has is that its really easy to get good units, it isnt even as close to as grindy as it seems, but you have to read and check every single menu after every single game to see what needs to be done, or you're just wasting your time

i LOVE what this game is trying to do, i would love to play it if it had that little bit of "realism" where if you make use of any form of "explosion" thing it effects EVERYTHING in it's blast radius, otherwise such weapons are going to be the meta and the game will just be "who shoots the first explosive wins". However, i hope i'm wrong.

I have about 300 hours or maybe a little more on the game, only playing shortbow. Super fun game,putting zero money into this. Overall a great game for those who want to play an epic medieval warfare game. As a shortbow player I would advise you to stop really focusing unit killing, and focus more on hero kills. Especially when multiple units collide people tend to just dive in, and you can pick some easy kills from behind your units with shortbow combos while not taking a single hit. Also always try to not be alone with your unit, shortbows dont really have the ability to withstand a 1v1 with another melee hero and his unit, only when you are more experienced can you more safely act independently.
