Consecrated Virginity vs. Religious Life

My name is carol Taurua and I am a Consecrated Virgin. I live in Dunedin New Zealand. I became a Consecrated Virgin I was a ceremony celebrated in 2002 on the Feast of Corpus Christie. My main work is intercessory prayer and assisting with preparation of my parish church for Sunday Mass, and reading at Holy Mass and whatever else Our Lord asks of me.

I have been considering becoming a consecrated Virgin too, and I would like to find out for myself whether it is really "for me"; how I (specifically) would live as a consecrated Virgin; if there are things that I use to do now which I couldn't do any more after the consecration,... Are there any reliable "guidelines"?

Dear Dawn, thank you for your witness and ministry. I am wondering, do you know, if the Bishop grants a Consecrated Virgin/Celibate the gift of the Blessed Sacrament in her home, are visitors allowed to pray before the Lord in her home or must this space of worship be private/only accessible to the Bride?

If one is outside of religious life and makes a choice to remain a virgin it can be a virtuous decision but it isn't the best way to serve God. Bringing up a Catholic family is a higher calling. Vatican II gave its approval for this calling this in itself makes it suspect since Vatican II was heretical.

YES I left the church also the Catholic church is so sexualy dysfunctional especially when it concerns women I feel sorry for these women I wonder if any of these Concetrated virgins regret this choice after time,and then leave the church? I would love to find any info, on that????

@@kathyheitchue2022 look up Theology of the Body if you're interested in discovering the real view the Catholic Church has on sexuality. there are a lot of misconceptions about it even within the church itself. jason and christalina evert are good resources for this on youtube. God bless

Kathy Heitchue If you knew Jesus/God was truly present in the Eucharist, you would come flying back. It’s not about the people, but about loving God and becoming ONE with Him. He was tortured and died for you whom He created in His image. ...Think of a little boy having a birthday party and so greatly looking forward to all he invited to come. Then no one shows up.
