yes, she is very talented, but she is certainly not unpopular. Her last two albums hit #3 on the Billboard charts right away, she is been on Leno, Letterman and other national shows. She also consistently sells out 20,000 seat venues; you are just looking in the wrong places :)

Just because she's rapping over an actual instrument and not a black person (translate: general threatening to white people) doesn't mean this isn't rap, or that rap that isn't this isn't music. Self expression isn't glued to how pretty you can be, or if you can put off a sense of beauty. Some of the best art out there is great because it makes you feel uncomfortable.
