My high school science was four decades ago and shabby then. So I'm trying to gain missing parts of my understanding. If we had bowls of soup rather than rolling balls, what of the heat loss in the soup's cooling? The heat energy has left the soup. Wouldn't dissipate to nothing in the environment?
