I watched atla not long ago and then korra and it was shocking (in an interesting way) to me to realize this shift! in atla there was the main goals but tiny stories as they progressed, while in korra it's pretty much one season one major plot with small happenings here and there. it's curious

This episode of Mando felt more like a niche George Lucas story than any of the other Mandalorian episodes so far.

I’ve loved this season of The Mandalorian. I think season 2 was SO GOOD that anything is going to seem like a downgrade. The rage over the Jack Black and Lizzo episode is so stupid. Was it the best episode this season? Hell no. But it was *fun*

I did not know you were into star wars too, if you want recommendations, the 2008 Star Wars the Clone Wars 3d show was a highlight of my childhood, my dad and I got together every friday night when I was 10 to watch the new episode, every single character in that show is a thundering badass and rewatching it as an adult was a lot of fun, ahsoka, bo katan, anakin, mace windu, darth maul, asaj venteess, padme, you name it love that show lol

Huh, I've had a few issues with The Mandalorian plot wise but it's mostly minor things and I generally still enjoy watching the show. I've never once thought when watching an episode where I had an issue with it that Disney hated me though. That is a very weird to think.

I haven't watched any Star Wars stuff in ages. I just got kind of burnt out on it. The last thing I saw was Rogue One, which I loved, but didn't really need to see anything more of and the more new stuff I haven't seen the less inclined I am to try and catch up. So, with that in mind, and with no context for that scene... It's fine. It looks like Star Wars. The costumes, the location, all very Star Wars. The dialogue feels like it comes out of Star Wars. If you played me the scene by itself and said, "Guess what this is from," I'd say, "Star Wars?" I don't see anything wrong with that scene. I'm not surprised he didn't have any real complaints. If you want more Star Wars, it seems like perfectly good Star Wars. I'd watch it if I wanted more Star Wars. I don't, so I'm going to go watch something else, which I can do because it's on streaming instead of live TV so it's not like it's taking up a slot in the schedule. I'm glad other people like it though. It looks like good Star Wars.

I'm more of a Trek fan, but The Mandalorian has had some good bits. I think I like things with more of a space western feel if they're not Trek. I love Trek because I grew up watching Next Generation. I also played the table top game (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡ But The Mandalorian and Firefly were other bits of Sci Fi I could get into. The real science and science theories in Star Trek just intrigue me so much. I'm a huge lady nerd (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

As a conservative, matt walsh fan, star wars fan. The is way better the disney triology becuase it's done with better care with dave and john. Way better than the mary sue rey. who's basiclly a luke skywalker knock off. Star wars isn't for matt walsh. He's clearly not the nerd comic, sci fi guy. These types of "conservatives" find a way to bring real world politics into anything, and want to bring the world down with them. It's just entertainment ffs. This season was different in tone for sure, so I get *some* of the discourse, but that doesn't mean it was BAD. Expecting it to be like the end of season 2 is just absurd (how would you top that anyway). They're never satisfied....and that's sad. I just wish some of the grifters would actually come out with their true mentaility as to why they hate the content, instead of mindless nitpicks......because the grifters do seem to have a few things in common (like right wing politics) that is fueling their hatred.
