Met a couple exactly like this at the holiday apartment complex we were staying at in Crete only they were from somewhere in Essex and they became the running joke for all the other holiday makers staying there . When they asked us where we were from and we told them Belfast they were like “oh you poor things , there’s so much poverty over there isn’t there ? still it’s nice you could afford to get away “ they were unbelievable, best bit was their faces when they tried to tell us that they always booked their holiday apartment privately as it ensured they got the best room in the complex and so on and so on , I then pointed out that they couldn’t have booked it privately as the complex was exclusive to the tour operator only for the summer season and the only people staying there were booked through the tour operator (I had checked this beforehand with the owners son and he confirmed no private bookings ) .they then of course got all offended and tried to bluff it so I called over to the owners son who was tending the bar and he again confirmed no private bookings but this time everyone around the pool area heard it , the couple went off in a huff with faces burning, and stayed away from the pool area for the last few days of their holiday much to everyone’s delight ! 😂

They were looking down on everyone but were common as muck, and by that I mean no class, not working class or whatever. I really wanted to do Harry's line on them. Such sad and empty people. They were fake tan orange with ball gowns and suits, driving convertible Mercs (the perfect car for them at least). Awful people but it made me laugh reminding me of Harry Enfield.
