Good morning, Thank you :) I am afriad tese pearls do not have a silver edge, I think it maybe the lighting giving that look - sorry! They do have a lovely pearl dotted edge, and they do come in just silver... but he ones I used are the Ivory. They are the SunPearls you will see here - www.craftmaniacrafts.com/gems-pearls

They don’t need to be, as long as they are joined in some way from onesies of the outer edge, to the opposite side.. it should collapse fine :)
