Is there a video planned for creating content groups with this new Google Tag setting? I can't find anything online (even Google's own documentation hasn't been updated and still references the old GA4 Configuration tag!). I can't figure out how to reconcile the regex table variable with Tag.

@@jeremyhogan2976 @SamanthaSmith-xn5yv in the new Google Tag, you need to add 2 parameters (you might already have the first one) : send_page_view with a value of true content_group with a value of {{Content Group}} (adapt the value to this variable if needed)

I use the GTM data layer method. Is there a way to apply 2 content groups to 1 page and have them be separate? We tag a lot of our content with 2 content groups but they are combined into 1 in GA4. Example, we tag them with "Fires" and "HVAC" and in GA4 the content group shows up as "Fires,HVAC".

Hi. Question: how to send multipile values for content group? for example on Wordpress I have 3 different custom post types, but they are using the same category tree. I would like to have a content group by custom post type name, and category name.

As of June 2023, the bug about not seeing Content Groups in the report until you turn off some metrics was still happening, so thanks for the tip! Who knows how long it would take to show up otherwise, because it was added days ago? And we couldn't see that we'd set it up wrong. Just a little kick to force a refresh, I guess.

This works. But does anyone have any idea why content groups dont have any engagement metrics associated with them? e.g. engagement rate is 0, bounce rate is 100 etc.

I appreciate the good content. What I keep wondering about is with a limit of 5 content groups, wouldn't it be better to manage groupings in custom dimensions to avoid the limit in case it expands?

There is 1 default content grouping. Everything else is custom dimensions.

You can define more than 5 content groups. In fact, it's not clear that there's a limit to how many you can define. Read my comment above.
