Great video bro, more coaches need to see this. My jump coach had me training between 5-6 days a week even with a meet during the week 😬

Fr man. Some coaches train every event like it's distance.

What does a hard week look like volume wise? Would that be one of your training videos out of season?
@matehj Жыл бұрын
Yes sort of, including some of the in-season vids too, the training videos show most of the intense training I do (Which is what I refer to as hard sessions). Doing 3-4 hard sessions per week max, I also do some easy core/rudiment plyos sessions on other days, mainly if I have time haha.

I ask a lot of questions but its cuz im trying to make my uni team but do u train on back to back days ever?
@matehj Жыл бұрын
Only if it's track session(plyos,jumps or sprints) than gym only work the next day. Then I'd take a break or ez core day in between. And I'm happy to always help. It's hard learning and doing this shit solo. If you're keen I could help program for you?

That's an amazing friend to be building uprights! You have to send me a image of the finished product. Sounds cool haha.

What do you think about consistent submaximal jumping?
@matehj Жыл бұрын
Train submaximal, perform submaximal. You want to train as high output as possible, recover properly and do it again.

How much percent of your max should you be lifting on hard and easy weeks?
@matehj Жыл бұрын
Yo sorry, a couple days late! I wouldn't bother with precise percentages, but hard weeks I'm either pushing near my max weights or trying to hit pbs. Med weeks are like 80-90% for main lifts but swapping out some hard lifts for accessories. And easy weeks are moving like 60-70% weights fast, and also doing more accessory movements. You can go rlly indepth with how to do this all properly but this is how I perceive and do it. Hope this makes sense bro!
