How would holding the icon reduce the attacks? As long as the icon bearer is visually wielding a chainaxe no one can say he doesn't have a chainsword because its baked into the model and a chainaxe is a replacement weapon. WYSWYG people can be pretty sharky but they can't hustle you for that.

Thanks for the question, now time for a complex answer. There are 3 reasons why I prefer the icon to be placed on the backpack, I didn't quite have the time to list them all in the video so here they are: First off when it comes to games I find it's best to visually represent everything on the model as it reduces any chance of confusion or disagreements with the other player. I'm not sure what you mean by "baked into the model" but there are no sheathed chainswords available on any model I have seen. Secondly, aesthetically I wanted a "practical" Khornate Army. Instead of all the baubles and fancy extras of an Age of Sigmar style, I'm going for a more spartan approach where every model looks like it can fight to the death with every weapon at it's disposal. Thirdly I've been reading a fair amount of the Horus Heresy recently and after listening to "Betrayer" by Aaron Dembski-Bowden I wanted to make sure that they made sense in the Warhammer universe. I can't imagine a World Eater remembering even what banner is when they enter a Berzerker Rage.

Do you have a paint recipe/ guide? I like the alternative khornate style and sick of seeing 30k used for 40k

People wouldn't have to resort to using 30K stuff if games workshop ever bothered to upgrade their kits. Granted, berzerkers are getting re released this winter, but the ones you can still buy on their shelves were made before the Matrix franchise existed. That's a quarter of a century, waiting for some new guys with bunny ears. It's pretty funny when you see some guy with loads of forge world Kakophoni, trying to pass them off as 40K Noise Marines. I mean, they look like they just walked out of La Fenice, the models are about a centimetre shorter than anything GW is making these days. And yet people are still willing to pay £46 for 5 of them. Kinda funny, but still also a bit sad.

I'm glad to hear that you like the scheme! We took inspiration from Betrayer (part of the Horus Heresy book series) where they describe World Eaters being caked in blood and dust after every engagement, it just seemed only right to include plenty of grime when painting these guys. I'm starting work on the World Eaters painting guide this week, so it should be on here within the next few weeks. I've tried to make them as easy as painting Necrons, so it's easy to get LOTS of these guys painted in a short time frame, good for building big armies of angry bunny ear guys!

@@WarpsongGames Right on man, i can say for one quick paint jobs to get things table ready quick are surprising sometime. I have a flaw that i paint things to clean but well , I'm working on it, except for my scratch built nurgle army, i made the models myself from sprue dissolved in acetone, they are on my channel if your curious to see, And Trevor goes meep did a roast of my sculping too if you wanna laugh
