I have to applaud you for even taking on this project. The 1st quarter that you have done looks really great it's great and I'm so sorry that you ended up with crappr drills. I can just imagine how that must have upset you because it would have upset me to. Personally I would do the bottom left because then it looks like you'll have the light half of the canvas done. Hope that makes sense and I will be watching your progress.

Wow that's a beautiful picture. I myself have started a painting that is 220 cm x 80cm and had it over a year and just started it a couple weeks ago. I also have another one going and crochet so I don't get burned out doing it. Good luck and many blessings on your journey with this project.

I'm also working on a cross stitch conversion from Heaven and Earth Design. I sourced my canvas and drills with Cooper. The ordering process was super easy, but I am NOT a fan of these drills. Love the image, but this project has become something I work on when I don't have anything else to work on.

Incredible work. Absolutely insane, but absolutely amazing! lol. Can't wait to see the finished project. How are you planning on framing it when it's done? I'm in club top-right, but whatever you do, keep us updated. Thanks for all your vids!

I'm voting top right! I had a suggestion too but it may be too late since you have sealed the painting...remember when DAC released Couch Dragon and one of the pictures on the wall had a dark matting but white drills? Well to cover the dark background that showed around the drills, someone used a light colored powder and it stuck to the canvas and covered the dark areas wonderfully. I wish I remember more details. I believe it was posted in the VIP group.

I really respect your patience. The week I just took the lazy person’s way out, and ordered from the Old Masters Section of Heaven and Earth, the printed diamond painting canvas of Henry the VII, approx. 4’ x 5’. Have ordered the drills from Diamond Drills USA. They also offer the service of determining the drills required from a H & E design. Have used this source for years and never been disappointed in the drill quality or the prices. Recommend everyone check them out. (I am not connected with them.). Look forward to seeing more updates on this project-you’re my patience motivator. :-))

This looks amazing, but I can't even imagine working on essentially a large scale cross-stitch project. I vote that you should work on the top right next only because I'm a little OCD and would have to work clockwise lol

Hi Katie! So cool! Challenges are so fun. Congrats on finishing the 1st quadrant, it looks amazing especially when we get the hole canvas in frame. I’d like to see you work on the right upper quadrant next. Because of the castle! And the contrasting colors from the one you just did. But really, I’ll be happy with anyone! And cute kiddo! 🦊 ☺️ Thanks again for your channel, always love your videos. Take care!

You’re amazing, Katie! I can’t believe the amount of work you’re putting into this canvas. I would love to see the top right panel next. I love the shift in color from bright sunlight to darker night light. And I know you said you’re not displaying it, but after all the hard work and all the multitude of ours it’s going to take you to get this thing done, I’d be hanging that puppy right up front so everyone could see it! Lol 😆 You’re doing a fantastic job! Thanks for sharing your journey with us as you complete this DP. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos!

I vote for top right. So we can see the difference in light and night. Beautiful job. I thought about it, cross stitch conversation, but do not like the lines in the canvas. I have never liked stamped cross stitch and it reminds me of that. Sorry. If we could get a blank canvas, no lines, maybe I would reconsider. Maybe. Lol Keep up the beautiful work. It's amazing.

Your canvas looks amazing. It is so large. I have used the polyacrylic for a lot of my double stick canvas and my small keychains and I love it. ❤️ I use a regular wide paint brush. Not to thrilled with sponges. Top right would be dark but beautiful.

I think top right would be good to work on and to see how the darker side will blend with the lighter side. It's looking really good and all the pasteli colors on this section are so pretty. 🥰 Hope your having a fantastic day Katie!!!

Now you have me nervous. I may have to scrap my canvas and drills I got 2 years ago from Cooper and go with poured glue and resin. I think top right would give you that contrast into darkness so that should be done next

I have used the minwax polycrylic on a popping canvas and it worked really well. I used a regular paint brush and it spread evenly and really well. I didn't have any mirky finish. It is nice and clear. The painting I put it on is over a year old and is holding up very well. I think you will be pleased with the outcome. This is looking beautiful! I'm sorry about the drills, I just finished one of those and spent an awful about of time cutting off nobly bits. I was so excited to take on one of these projects, I might hold off for a bit to see how this finishes. It is a monumental effort to have a less than desirable outcome.
@aprilp.01292 жыл бұрын
This is looking amazing! I love that dragon in the bottom left. I would suggest the top right so you can get a break from the shade of colors with each quadrant and don’t get sick of the light/dark for doing so much at once

I'm late to the party and you might have already been told or found out on your own, but you can go in and edit your floss list to change the color numbers. It won't chance the symbol so you will still have two symbols for the same color, but you won't have to search for the original number to find the color you need.
@Nessi09142 жыл бұрын
I’ve been using spare drills and a DSA canvas and it’s a fun challenge, but I would like poured glue and more consistent drills. My next Creatively Stitching conversion will be done using Jaded Gem shop drills and canvas for sure. I would probably work in bottom left since it’s mostly the same colors that you already have out.

hi hon i use the water base one ans it works perfect i use a microfiber clot that is damp i cote it ans let it sit for 3 min and just use the towel ans take some of the seal an it work perfect

I am looking forward to seeing when this is complete! it makes me wat to do my first head project, if you want to get a thin layer I would recommend try putting some into a spray bottle with equals parts of the sealer and water and spray it on, I have previously tried this and I find it gives more of a thin layer of the sealer and consistency as well, I hope this helps you out
@dawnyoung6272 жыл бұрын
Have you considered converting the rest of the canvases to poured glue... I just recently watched a couple of videos where some ladies did that... me personally if I was worried about drills popping off and there is so much left to do... I'd try to convert one to see how it worked... just be careful pulling the tape off so you do not stretch the canvas.

Bottom left. And omg i would die trying to do this.

Hahaha rebel here! bottom right!!!! I have a question on the sealing as you go, I didn't notice any "lines" where one layer of sealant was put next to an already dry section, how did you keep this from happening? I ask as I am having an issue with a kit and the company suggested sealing as I go to help keep the diamonds in place.
@pamhumphreys17872 жыл бұрын
I think you should do the top right because the colors are so different and it will be a nice change for you. I’m planning to do a HAED conversion and already have the pattern. I was planning to use your supplier but after some of the problems you’ve had, I’m considering looking elsewhere.

@xstitch-ldg2 жыл бұрын
In terms of size in comparison to cross stitch, diamond painting with square drills has 10 drills per linear inch while cross-stitch ranges from 14 to 40. 25 being one of the recommended size for Heaven and Earth. Therefore your project, on 25ct fabric would be less than a quarter of the size of the fully completed diamond painting.
