At 1:41 - to make sure that all of the points are at least X apart you would need to repeat merge by distance around 3 times (just duplicate it so it repeats a few times). After one iteration I often see points that are closer than original merge distance

This is really cool! I wonder if you can space the points by volume so it starts with large details, then goes to smaller details. The Convex Decomposition node in Houdini might do this
