I am 24 learning these dances. I admire “back in the day” times so much. I am so lucky to have parents born during the 50s-60s, constantly playing oldie goldies. I admire those times and their taste in music so much, I really absolutely love it.

Excellent demonstration of three easy dances. She is wearing taller boots than we did. Actually they were called gogo boots and they were ankle boots made out of white patent leather. Nice dress, paisley was extremely popular with Mary Quant colorful stockings.

This is great. We were still doing the twist at school dances in the late 80's and early 90's. Actually, we always had someone put on music from the 50's and 60's and we would Lindy Hop/Swing as well. Miss those days. We had some fun teachers! We would start current and go backwards and then come back.

and all the different patterned hoseiry we had! TWO of them! ---Noooo pantyhose! they were all different colors and patterns and textures, some sheer, some woven. the Department Stores had a whole big section of them and we'd thumb through them ALL! and then pick out a couple pairs to go with our outfits. oh my gosh! we had sooo much fun back then. times were so happy. honestly, it wasnt perfect, but it was FUN! people were always out and about all the time.

I loved it and the music esp The Swim. Perhaps you can revisit the 60's again with the Shing-a-ling that Davy Jones used to do on The Monkees and the Hully Gully and one called side stepping that looked like the Hitchhiker or similar and of course The Monkee.

You did ok but , as with most of you young folk your not doing the complete mashed potato, the mashed potato you make fist over fist and mash the potato there is a girl on tik tok who does all the 60s dances to a t she is the only person i saw do all of the dances correct. i'm 68 years old i was dancing in the 60s if your going to dance the 60s do them the correct way or not at all!!!
