By far the best video on this board among a slew of lesser attempts all over youtube.

Excellent video, good job on explaining the wiring and removal of that jumper wire for the sensor. Most guy's say this is the new controller flash over to it's installed and works lol.

We encounter these modules regularly in our commercial division and it is great to know about this option we can use for truck stock. Thanks for the great content as always!

Yes you can, but when I made this video that wasn't a feature.

I’ve been using the Honeywell s8610u for years. I’ll have to see what the Emerson cost. Maybe I’ll keep one in the van if they’re priced close enough to the Honeywell

Nice product. What is the cost difference between OEM and the new controller? Thanks for the video

You ever have any of those Yorks where the sparker constantly arcs to the burner bracket even with new pilot burner and all that? These yorks drive me crazy between that and the inducers failing.
@HVACKnowItAll3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a serious bad bath out there. I had to wrap a couple with electrical tape. I don't like those burners at all.

A little tip, if you are having trouble with the spark rod igniting the gas. Loosen the screw holding down the sparker and let it move freely, it'll find a spot it likes to ignite the flame and thats when you tighten down the screw.

Why did you leave the old one there?
@HVACKnowItAll3 жыл бұрын
I didn't, that's the 2nd stage, there are 2 controllers in the unit

Thanks for the video, great overview. I have a question, if White-Rodgers engineers know that an OEM control (by part number) is compatible why can't they provide the control logic information for the universal control?
@davidvie84363 жыл бұрын
A new PDF titled "All-Spark Cross Reference Timings" is now available on the White-Rodgers website to help. It will continue to be added to as additional information on individual models is verified. Ultimately it will also become part of the NFC app for better ease of use.

Never knew that controller even existed. Do you usually get those at Johnstone or would the York supply house have them?
@HVACKnowItAll3 жыл бұрын
It's new so I don't believe all supply house have caught on yet. If you local supplier deals with White-Rodgers it should be easy for them to bring it in.

@@HVACKnowItAll I would have to ask the b0ss. I would think we would get our old Ignition Modules like that old 2nd stage one still in that RTU from Johnstone. I always struggle in the winter when I have to flip flop between the sparker and ignitor boards.
