I had a parent-teacher meeting at my son's school and the teacher was sitting down when I arrived and I was standing and talking to him and he got very upset and refused to speak to me until I sat down so that he could stand up and stand over me. It was the most ridiculous parent-teacher meeting I've ever been to. I had my son removed from his classroom right after that. My son was not going to be taught by an arrogant man who refused to speak to women if their heads were above his. That is not the male influence I want for my son.

I’m a 63 year old white male, I was stopped for jay walking on a street with no crosswalk nearby, I was ordered to sit on the ground and refused and politely said I’m not a dog, I was tased, manhandled, cuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct but they dropped the charges. The don't need a warrant to search someone. They do, however, need enough PC or RAS to legally detain or arrest a person. Detainment or arrest give the officer the right to search a person. This all depends on the state they're in, obviously, but that's pretty typical in most states.

Not "ever" following an unlawful order, is a recipe for potential disaster, because you might escalate a situation to the point of getting yourself or others killed, and many citizens think they know what is and isn't a lawful order but are ignorant, so they could just end up digging themselves an unnecessary legal pitfall. If you're certain it's unlawful, sure, push back within reason, ask for a supervisor, but if push comes to shove the best practice is to make it known it's only going to be followed under duress, and then bring it to court. Just saying, be careful. Cops can be super aggressive and belligerent, they'll make up facts after the fact, and not every lawsuit is successful.

That policeman should be charged with driving down a one way street and failing to stop at a stop sign. It was clearly a retaliatory stop.

I'd like to believe it would not work in this moment but I would much rather not die and fight the situation rather than get killed and have my family deal with that.

Why would you have to give a driver license on a bike. Last I checked you're not required to have a driver license or even an ID to ride a bike.
