Quick update on the seat situation: I bought the Alex wilhelm seat bracket and was able to get the seat lower. I was initially hesitant because I wasn’t sure how much forward adjustability I would have, and Alex himself expressed a safety concern if I modified the bracket to sit more forward. I’m 5’6” and didn’t have to modify it all. On the most forward setting, I am able to reach the pedals just fine. I’m very happy with the bracket and should have just bought it from the beginning!

I have this seat in my car. I'm using Alex's seat brackets as you mentioned. I certainly noticed less holding myself in place with it, so if its race focused I'd try and stick with the seat. I also removed the foam on the bottom of the seat and replaced with a softer squishier foam, so it sits lower than the factory foam. I just got it from Home Depot. I havent don't any super long drives, but I find it comfy for the 45 minute drives to the track still

My idea for the car is a track toy, and I am willing to sacrifice comfort. I have been driving the car the last week or so with the FX1-pro, and I am really impressed with it. Like you mentioned, it is comfy for what it is, and I like it way more than the Forza's I have in the other MR2!

I feel that the Mr2 is small enough that it kind of holds me in decently as is. I’m slightly bigger at 5’9”, and my other autox car has more space and is more open cockpit compared to the big gas tank tunnel the mr2 has, so maybe that sways me to liking it as is. And I’ve never had an upgraded seat before, so I have nothing to compare it to 😂.
