Got the core fitness dumbbells recently as per your request on previous reviews and it really does live up to the hype, I was actually going to go with the bowflex ones until I started reading online that they were flimsy. these are so much more compact and easier to change weights I just had to go with the core fitness ones I hope they last me for years to come

Great comparison video! I recently upgraded to the Nuo dumbbells from my spinlock dumbbells. Have the same concerns on the plastic durability, but otherwise changing weights is a breeze.
@Somtric
@Somtric 2 жыл бұрын
The plastic part is not an issue, the whole handle of Powerblocks are plastic, as well as the connector that locks weight in on Powerblocks & they easily last +10 years. People got to understand that there are MANY different types of "plastic" and it's used very differently. Nuobells "plastic" parts are high quality & long lasting plastic, that won't be an issue, unless you are one of those bafoons that throw your dumbbells around.

Any updates on the hyperbar with the Nuobells? I like the idea of having the bar option, but I love the 80lb nuobells. I don’t want to have to buy barbellls. May just have to get an in star band bar if there isn’t a bar attachment option. Thanks

Good products. I went with the bow flex 1090s with the stand. Some people don’t like the length but no way a deal breaker. The convenience of just twisting the handle vs two dials is minimal to non existent. Plus they go to 90 pounds. I was wondering if you know if the clamp style bar will work with them? I forgot the name of it. It takes dumbbells and makes a barbell out of them.

Regarding the Hyberbell, I am starting to see the knurled handles of my spin lock dumbbells chew through the foam rubber of the clamps a bit. I plan to send pictures to Jayflex support later this week. I do not think the Hyperbell clamps will last long with knurled handles. Take a close look at the foam rubber in your Hyperbell clamps. Once that outer layer is damaged, the underlying foam is exposed and will go quickly. I have the Core Fitness dumbbells too and I think that the Hyperbell would last a long time if I only used it with the CF dumbbells, but I was hoping to be able to lift more that 100lbs with the Hyperbell.

@@GamerBody Just get the MX80 Barbell System or Bowflex barbell system... it's pointless always trying to go the cheap-ass way... it's better to buy something (save up for) that is higher quality & last longer, than buying more cheap crap. You don't talk about this but my biggest concern with the Nuobells would be the plastic clip on the cradle vs. the metal clip on the Core Home Fitness ones. If the clip breaks, it seems like you would not be able to adjust your dumbbells again. Also, 50 lb vs. 50 lb, it seems like a no brainer to go with the Core Home Fitness. You aren't really gaining any functional capabilities, it is purely aesthetics.
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I personally recommend the Core to everyone that asks. It would only be if you have the extra cash that I'd go with the Nuobells for the 50 lbs. I do agree that the plastic clip in the cradle was a miss by them as it could easily break if you in incorrectly, especially with the 80s.

I have the Core Fitness 50 lbs and really wanted the Nuobells for the extra weight but decided to keep the Core's because we have the stand. It's really convenient to be able to pick them up and put them down at waist height....having to pick up the 80 lb Nuobells from the ground was a deal breaker, and the cost for their stand on top of the dumbbells would be over $1,000, which is crazy. Yes and no. Compared to buying an entire rack it is VERY cheap (nearly half the cost). Example, if you bought 80 lbs worth of individual dumbbells in increments of 5lbs, it would cost $1360 (for a pair of each). Note, that is if it is $1 per pound. You might get it 2nd hand cheaper though. My only other complaint is it takes up way more space to do all individual dumbbells.
