I think it’s really meaningful to know his past when you watch this music video. His mom was never there for him just like “she” says in the video. He got involved with drugs and a lot of his friends got him into trouble (Like one of them shot and killed a guy at a fight.) He even got sent to jail for breaking probation and failing a drug test. That’s when he was kicked out of his own band Escape the Fate and when he started this band FiR (: So that part with his mom is completely literal. It’s heartbreaking but also super empowering. He didn’t need his mother to get to where he is now. He may have struggled his way here but he did it without her and he should be damn proud of himself for the dad that he is to Willow.
