Classy resto, PB...... she's now a thing of beauty 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻 The Nightmare On Reassembly Street has driven me up the wall too.....more than once! When I find what I'm doing wrong, it's even worse cos it's always, without fail, something rediculously simple and I'm left sobbing....sobbing, I tell you.....over the waste of life! But, then I forget about it and it's all ok. I'm fine. Honest... Excellent video, mate.

Thank You. It's always something simple, and I cut out the bits where I go crook at myself for being stupid. Like the Bentley the other week, when you work out how simple the solution was you question your mental capacity.

All n' all, that turned out smashing! Those things were like a couch on wheels. Very comfortable to ride in. The later years, they came with a 455 cubic inch engine and front wheel drive. They would pass everything but a gas station.

I like the early ones the best, they just look ahead of their time. Thank you very much Gerry.

Great to discover new techniques - I keep using chemicals that sometimes completely dissolve plastics and have to make entire new parts 🤭🤦♂️

Awesome restoration as always! I found your channel no more than a couple months ago and have been watching every single video from the beginning and now have seen them all after watching this one. P.S. I've never seen the original Gone in 60 seconds but I love the remake. Please don't kick me off the subscriber list. I promise I will watch the original.
@PBsRetroRestorations3 ай бұрын
Wow! Thank you very much, that's a lot of watching to get through! I do sometimes say awful things about the 60 Seconds remake, as a stand alone movie it's pretty good, it's like anything that's such a big part of your childhood any new version or remake feels wrong. To be fair, the original as a movie is pretty terrible, but for actual CGI free stunt driving, the backstory of how one guy financed, directed, did all the big stunts in it himself is why I revere it so much. These days I usually just watch the 40 minute car chase, it's on the Tubes somewhere. Thank you again!

@PBsRetroRestorations it was alot of joy watching all your videos, and can't wait for the new ones now! I just finished my first model car and was kinda bummed I missed out on the June deadline for the any build when I watched that video. I know there will be another one in the future and that gives me time to hone my skills. You're special affects don't scare my cats at least lol. I wish you well and thanks for taking the time to write such a kind reply to me😁 your friend from Wisconsin, USA

the light blue looks great, especially between all the gold ones. :) I don't miss the towhook really, those always looked to me like somethign foreign. I would have added a lot more chrome, the blue can wear it, but it's a resto, so there. :) ah yes, the reassembling. it shows the true genius of the developers as well as of those who put them together to begin with. with some castings the assemblers must have been paid as high as those who put together real cars... as for the interior, I remember having one of these Rivieras as a kid, and the interior wasn't very straight there, either. probably a problem with the machine that spit them out? or maybe because it's a flimsy piece of vacuumed plastic.
@PBsRetroRestorations3 ай бұрын
Thank you, yes it's a nice change from the common gold. I suspect I subconsciously left the tow hook off because it's an awful after-thought looking add on, I noticed later Uncle Phil's gold one had the remnants of one as well, I didn't think the gold ones had them. I often wonder how the assembly workers put these together at the rate required by a manufacturer, but I guess when you do hundreds of them a day you get good at it 😆I can also imagine Ethel cursing after being told she was on the Bond or Batmobile line that day, you'd be begging to put Buicks together then 🤣
@lotharrenz46213 ай бұрын
@@PBsRetroRestorations ...or the planes,. or the yellow submarine, or any other complicated model. Martin Dare did a video on the big fireladder truck, and he had to make two videos out of it... it's like one worker can complete two of those a day. XD
How do I send you some Corgi and Dinky I found in the garden?

Hi Enzso, That's very kind of you to offer, however international postage to Australia can be quite prohibitive. If that doesn't bother you and you'd still like to send them my mailing address is GPO Box 1967, Brisbane QLD 4001, Australia, thank you.
