Hi everyone! Hope you enjoy the video. This is a fun play between two of my favorite stitches. The Granny Square and C2C. This is perfect for temperature blankets, stash busting or if you have a variegated yarn that you've been wanting to use. This stitch can easily be converted from a square to a rectangle blanket. I hope you give it a try. xx

Roz there was another video on this subject and I made a suggestion there that might help some folks. For the final cluster try this. Another way to get a square corner on the last row. chain three, start the first double crochet in the cluster leave the loop on the hook, do the same for the second and third double crochets so you have 4 loops on the hook. Pull through all four loops and draw the 3 double crochets together. End as usual with the stitch at the end of the row. This gave me a square corner. i hope this helps.

Wonderful, thanks Richard, appreciate the suggestion! 🙌🏻💕

Hi Ross, me again the loopy funny edges person. I’ll I finally got tired of ripping out putting it back ripping out and I decided to blindly just do the pattern which I had been doing perfectly fine and just trusted the process. I got it done. It looks fine I think. I guess I didn’t realize and none of the KZbinr who do the crochet diagonal granny mention that the decrease edges are not as smooth and tight as the increase edges. It would be nice if a few of you would address this because when I looked at it the first few times. I just thought it was wrong that I was doing something wrong, but it is definitely, a character of the decrease anyway all is well. I’m happy with my results still don’t particularly like the little bit of holy effect you get on the sides at the edge but there again it’s part of the nature of the beast I guess anyway thank you for your response earlierit helped me be more determined to get it figured out thanks!

My rectangular blanket with shades of blue, white and gold is growing quite beautifully. Thanks for your great tutorial. I made a sample beforehand and noticed that it was very taut along the sides in the increasing part. Not the same on decreasing. I decided to chain four when starting a new row and it seems good. I think I have a tendency to chain to tight. Hopefully it will be ok when decreasing but maybe I could return to 3 chains... 😂

@@PlayHookywithMe late reply. Finished it a while back. Overall a great piece and it made a huge impact on the recipient.
