I feel your pain Shaun. I grew up in Nebraska and experienced some 20 below zero as a young guy. But I got to the warmer south as quickly as possible. Now when it hits 50 I'm shivering. 32 is a Parka day and colder than that I am not setting foot outside. Never been to Buffalo before. That was a fun flight. Thanks for sharing.

Love the video, however, you were wrong about the 280kt restriction on the SID. I'm a Detroit approach controller and former Riddle grad. It's in the notes of the HHOWE3, turbojets maintain 280kt until advised by ATC. Most pilots do miss it tho, keep up the good work!

Shaun you are now typed in two nice jets now sir!! Wow that's probably the best way to get hired on with a company if you had to pay for it yourself and now you can earn it all back flying and getting paid to have fun with it . Great to get outside and enjoy the boring hours and days of staying home and especially what you love to do in Aviation. How do you like flying the Hawker? Staying social distances is hard in Flying but we have family to take care of and we are so blessed to be working and having a job.

Had a early morning flight a couple winters ago on a delta flight, was so cold soaked the engines couldn't start on apu bleed alone (either an md-88 or 90). They had to bring over a huffer cart to get hot air into the intake and warm things up.

Always wanted to fly that approach (many years of things landing overhead (usually Southwest) as I go by on I-90 driving from the midwest to New England or vice versa).

You've really perfected you audio editing! I never hear the tail number from you or ATC, and there's no awkward silence where it should be. If you need to keep it discrete, you're nailing it.

no traffic in the skies, go your normal speed guys! Grin in the Navy it is 16 kts between points, or go as fast as you needed so you would not be late for the exercise when you were in formation with other ships, grin didn't want to make the CO look bad.

I took my private check ride with Jack Prior ages ago. The drill was the oral in his office, then he'd say go do a pre flight and I'll meet you at the plane. We all knew Jack would peek from the hangar to see how thorough was the the pre flight and if it wasn't thorough, well that was the end of that ride.

I heard a story some years ago it got so cold in Edmonton, AB the airport had to close because the jet engines were stalling on the ground from the extreme cold. I think it was somewhere around -60 to -80.

Watching different channel cockpit video's shows the airbus control system uses the joy stick, Gulfstream and Boeing uses the half circle looking control, but Hawker uses something that looks like a mini version of what is on my jetski. Obviously, they all work but which is your preference?

Believe it or not, the Hawker "ram horn" yoke is quite comfortable, but the Gulfstream will always feel like home to me.

That is the backup artificial horizon. It actually is not fadeing out, that is a camera shutter speed sync issue
